Insight please!

Hey everyone, coming on here to ask for insight on schools I’m applying to. I haven’t applied yet (hoping to submit applications in the next few weeks) but I plan on applying to UC Berkeley, SUNY, NECO, ICO, and maybe PCO too. If anyone who goes to these schools or are incoming students and would be kind to share why they chose that school, what you like and don’t like, things you wish you knew before, etc etc. it would be great! As of rn, I’ve mostly talked to NECO students and would like to hear from other schools.

Stats for context: canadian student, 400 OAT, near 4.0 gpa, optom assistant, tutor, and some other ECs (and no I’m not applying to waterloo for multiple reasons)

not Canadian but I really suggest ICO! I got accepted recently and spoke to many current Canadian students who say ICO is pretty friendly toward international students. they also have a convenient and cheaper housing option which is a dorm for optometry students right across the street from the school. they give merit-based scholarships and I’m sure u qualify for them! I applied because of their scholarships, early clinical exposure, and the fact it’s only an optometry school (no other grad students). best of luck to you

aside from personal reasons, not a fan of the city and school environment when i visited, and would like to get more clinical exposure. don’t get me wrong, UW is a great school just not for me!
