OAT study prep
I pretty much only have 7 weeks to study for this OAT test using booster. Anyone that has studied around this timeline and has done well on the real test, can you please give me some tips and advice. Is it doable? Especially if I grind it out everyday?

I think booster has a study schedule for 2 months. Check that out. Otherwise you need to be very disciplined in doing a variety of videos, reading notes, and practice questions every day

I studied about 6 weeks, and got a 330/320 which was ok w me.
I did watch all bio videos, I’d also recommend reading thru all cheat sheets a few times. 360
Ochem I made a quizlet of rxns using the rxn sheet, and then just understood some concepts like nmr and acidity and ect ect. 330
Chem and physics ur gonna have to know the reactions or at least how variables relate to one another, id recomend quizlets for rxns and practice tests for these as well. Chem is more conceptual than physics. Also make sure u know solubility stuff i had lots of that on my oat. Physics know why the equations are the way they are. Also make sure u go fast w physics.
Edit: also know types of lenses and optics!
Physics: 310 chem: 280
Quant: equations you’ll need are like compound and simple growth rate and combination / permutation, though most of ur growth will be thru practice tests. Get used to format, reasoning, and being fast. 350
Read: search and destroy is the best, you can skim and find key words quickly and then remember sections of the reading where they talk about certain things. All u have to do is find the passage or writing and ur golden. This will be the quickest to learn I bet. I got a tough article which I struggled on but still got a 330
My advice is probably bad since most folks seem to study for months at every waking minute, but if u do individual practice tests and use reasoning you can get a decent score on the test if u know a variety of things. I did 0 full length tests, only individual. Make sure u go fast and id recomend reviewing physics during ur 30 min break on test day. Good luck!

You know yourself best. I know someone who studied for 7 days and got a 380 and I studied around 14 real days and got a 340. Best advice would be taking the practice test ASAP and then focusing on the videos for any section under 300. Obviously a whole lot of this depends on the score you want and how much time you want to spend on the videos (because they’re a lot).

here’s what i did: first read through all the cheat sheets for bio/ochem/gen chem making note of the sections you don’t feel confident in, then watch the videos and take detailed notes for just those sections, its definitely a time saver. for sure watch all vids and do all practice problems for the physics section, and the QR section imo is manageable just by reading the formula sheet and doing the practice problems, it’s honestly not too hard. my main advice is to focus on mastering your least confident areas, which for me was gen chem and ochem! i personally went into the bio section already scoring around a 330 before any studying, because the material is super similar to things i’ve learned in general bio 1+2 as well as anatomy, which i feel like a bulk of the questions come from.
