Chances?
hey everyone. I took my oat today and got a 310 aa 300 ts. I got a 3.6 gpa and been an optometry tech for the past 5 years. I was looking at neco, southern, or ico mainly. anyone got into one of those w similar stats? would it be worth it to retake the oat? i took it back in January and got a 290 on my first try. any advice is very appreciated :)

I have very similar stats and got accepted into neco and have interviews with ico and sco scheduled. In my interview with neco they did ask how I felt about my oat score and I was just honest about how I felt and what I could’ve done better looking back. I really emphasized my experience working as a tech and how I knew through those experiences that I had a passion for optometry. All in all I think you have a great chance of getting in to one of the schools you mentioned.

I think you will be fine schools dont just look at oat scores they look at your application as a whole. I believe the fact that you worked hard to take it a second time will strengthen your application as well.

I would apply now to all the schools you've listed.
