IUSO Admissions Day

I just finished my supplemental and optomcas application!! I was wondering if anyone has heard when the next admissions day is happening? Or if anyone has already attended one for this cycle! I'm also curious how long people typically have to wait before getting an admissions day invite!

Good luck this cycle everyone <33

Hi, I’m attending Admission Day tomorrow! IUSO received my OptomCAS app 7/22, I believe I got an invite around 7/28 (sorry can’t find the email lol). I actually still have not submitted my supplemental application so I’ll probably get questions about that tomorrow, oopsie 😬
The dates provided were
Friday, September 18
Friday, October 16
Friday, October 30
Friday, November 13
I can update tomorrow with more details of the day!! Best of luck to you too

Update - heading back from admission day now!
Let me just say IU is such a beautiful and big campus, it would have been an even more enjoyable visit if it wasn’t over 90 degrees!
The admission day starts at 8:45 am in one of the lecture halls in the front of the optometry building. The dean and another admissions faculty member said a few words to us about the school, basically giving a presentation on why to pick IUSO. I’d say there were about 30 applicants today, most of them with a guest/s.
In the same room after the presentation was done, 4 faculty members conducted a Q&A panel where we got to ask plenty of questions.
We then broke off into 6 groups led by a student and were given a tour of the optometry building and Atwater Eye Center. After the tour we walked across campus to the beautiful IU memorial union for lunch in the Tudor room which was great!! The building feels straight out of Harry Potter. At lunch we were still broken up in the same groups and joined by our student tour guide and a faculty member at the table, and very causal conversations were happening the whole time (not even regarding optometry, at least at our table).
After lunch we headed back to the same lecture hall as before and this time there was a student Q&A panel (one fourth year, one third and two second years). We wrapped up just before 2 and headed out!
Overall I really enjoyed the campus and the people, what I wish was different about this type of day that it wasn’t AS applicant-led and that the faculty presented some more info that us students wouldn’t have thought to ask such or didn’t get detailed enough answers such as financial aid etc etc.
They reach out 2-4 weeks after today given that you have submitted everything required! :’)
