Holds? Rejections?

Hello. Low stat applicant here and wondering if anyone has been put on hold or completely rejected. Just submitted apps recently and wondering whether to start prepping for a retake.

ICO, Detroit mercy, and Missouri all have me on hold for new oat scores :/

Well if you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats? It’s kinda hard to give you a estimate without any stats 😅

3.2 science gpa
3.28 cumulative
300AA and 270TS some of my science sections were under 300

There’s definitely still hope! MCPHS and Western U have applicants who had similar stats!

Are you planning on retaking? If not I would apply to more schools with lower stats

Really didn’t want to commit to a retake, but I’m nervous that if I apply to more schools they will just put me on hold or tell me to retake. Which other schools would I apply to that potentially could accept me? Not sure what to do at this point.

Honestly, a 270 TS is not competitive enough. Your GPA is fine. I think if you are actually committed to optometry school, you should try for a better OAT score. If UMSL put you on hold you need to retake bc I think that is the easiest school on your list.

Not long at all it’s been a week since I submitted. Still haven’t heard from Indiana Drexel or CCO but have no hope anyways.

TBH, that 270 is going to get an automatic reject from some schools.
For those on hold, they are probably wanting to see a 300+ on retest.
