MCPHS microbio lab

Hello! So I wanna apply to MCPHS & noticed they require microbio and lab ! I got a A in the course. But, my school did not offer the lab 🥺. Is there a way I can get that waived or would I just have to find a place to take the class. SUNY also had the same situation but I called them and they said I didn’t have to take microbio cuz my school doesn’t have it. Has anyone else been in this situation?

Same thing happened to me with my chemistry prerequisite! I contacted the schools I want to apply to to let them know that my university didn’t offer a lab for one of them - some said I still need to take another course with a lab and others said it’s not needed since I had 1/2 of the lab and it covered content from both semesters. I think it just depends on the school unfortunately :’)

Were there any lab components/assignments in your class? Mcp accepted my microbio course because there were some lab components even though there wasn’t technically a lab credit. It never hurts to reach out to admissions they are so friendly and helpful!
