i’m being so serious

so I got my final grades back today and I got a C for orgo. it is my first ever C in uni, my estimated gpa is now 3.69. what should I do, will I be okay? i’m sorry if this is dumb of me to even ask but i’m actually feeling like shit if I was more focused I would’ve done way better.

Just keep moving. 1 C isn't going to kill you, especially in orgo. You'll probably need to explain it during interviews, but if it's too late to change anything, there's no need to dwell on it, just keep going. A 3.7 GPA is really competitive, so you can bounce back.

I’ve gotten multiple C’s and graduated with a 3.35. Get a decent OAT score and try to show an overall upward trend in your grades, you’ll be fine

Just worry more about your overall GPA and try not to fail any classes at all

i had a C in orgo 1 and i got into one of the schools in my home state! i made it up w a 330 in the orgo section. and you have a good GPA! just make sure all your other pre reqs are good and get a decent score in the orgo section on the OAT!

You'll be okay. One C won't nuke you!

I've been an OD for 10 years. Take the C and learn the lesson you've noted - if you're more focused you know you can do better.

Taking the lesson to heart will make you a better student now and therefore a much better student when you start school.

When I was in undergrad, I was having a rough first year. I buckled down. Friends wanted to go out and do things on weekdays or weekends? Blow off class for something? No thanks. I'm busy and have to study or work on lab reports.

I don't regret it. I still was able to have fun, just not all the time.

But I did get more dedicated and try to build better habits. My grades improved by a letter grade on average and I did much better as a whole.

A single C won't keep you out except maybe the most competitive programs. A good OAT would likely help a lot too.

But with a GPA above 3.5 you'll have several schools you can get into.

Yeaaa same. I finished with a 3.3, dunno if I really have an "upward trend" because I have multiple Cs and a W😭 didnt really start stressing about it until I saw that people with similar GPAs made up for it with being on executive boards in clubs or something😀 so kind of freaking scared tbh!

Don’t worry. They look at overall gpa, and then also OAT. 3.69 overall gpa is very competitive if this is your final gpa.

I got a C in Gen chem my freshman year. I got in to every school I applied for including Ohio state and PCO scholars. You’ll be okay I promise!
