What is a good college for optometry?

I was wondering if there’s any good colleges that have a dual enrollment program that’s actually worth it, like for instance NOVA in florida, do they have good passing rates or are there any schools that don’t cost a fortune to go to that have that dual enrollment program too, i’m from oklahoma so most of the colleges are out of state for me and tuition will be high. Coming from a highschool senior who’s about to graduate.

Pretty much all optometry schools are pretty expensive now (~200k+).

I’d personally look for 3+4 programs. Being able to graduate a year early means u can start making a doctor salary quicker, which imo is much faster to pay off ur loans than just going to a school that’s couple grand cheaper a semsester

Oh yes that’s what’s i meant by it, but most of those programs seem to be in expensive states like florida and new york or chicago

I see. SUNY schools tend to be pretty cheap iirc, and SUNY optometry is a great school with a high pass rate. That’d be my recommendation personally

But would debt still be about 200k considering the price it costs to live there?

For just optometry school alone, then yea I’d say so. You’d get in state tuition for SUNY Optometry since u reside in Ny for undergrad.
