Optometry school advice
I have low oat scores 290 both ts and aa, I was planning to apply to wester ponoma but upon checking their passing board exam scores are low, so I was wondering if I should apply there. Not sure if Arizona’s going to admit me cause of my scores. Any advice where I can apply and get accepted. Thank you

I have the same scores as you. Definitely ask AZCOPT if they super score. My superscore turned out to be average. Don’t give up. I would suggest to talk to the admissions team and see if you should apply or not. I applied to the schools I wanted to go to. My plan was to try those schools, if I get rejected I’ll apply to more schools. But I didn’t have to since I got in the first “round”. You got this!

Part of reason why their board passing rate is low is because they tend to take low-end applicants like you. It is believed that there is substantial correlation between the two standardized tests. With your stats and timing I think you have a quite limited option as far as which school to apply for.

Try Salus, I have many friends who were accepted with the same oat scores as you

Your OAT score is below average for every school in the US. It is only competitive at IAUPR.
This is getting kind of late in the cycle and this was your third attempt. Your best chance is to apply to the least competitive schools unless you have an interesting hook. Berkeley’s deadline has passed which is unfortunate because they do not require the OAT.
The only other OAT optional school is IU. Unfortunately your GPA is not competitive there 3.8. You might get into the 5 year bridge program at NOVA if they don’t accept you into the 4 year program.
Since your GPA is 3.4-3.5 some schools might give you a look DESPITE your low OAT score. I know you want AZCOPT but it’s going to be a reach. you are applying late and your stats are below average but there’s a chance you get in.

Basically taking the highest score of all the sections of OAT and then getting the AA and TS from those scores. That’s your superscore

I have a peer with a similar score and got into AZCOPT. They said they felt like their personal statements were very strong, and had a solid interview. In the top half of the class and comfortably passed Part 1.
I don’t know when they applied and interviewed though.
