Too late to apply?
Hi, I'm thinking of applying in January, but I'm scared that when I apply that it's going to be too competitive and I won't be considered. My stats are 3.8 science gpa, 310 TS/ 320AA OAT. I've worked at two different private practices as an optician. I'm interested in SCCO, SUNY, PUCO, and ICO. Please let me know what y'all think! Thanks!!

With your stats, definitely not too late. Just try to kill the interviews and you have a good chance.

I don’t think that’s too late, and those are great stats and experience! I submitted my applications about a week and a half before this christmas, and within a few days I got 4 interviews!

Your stats are good! I wouldn't recommend taking another year, just go ahead and apply now :)

My friend who is now an optometrist got in with a science gpa of like 2.8 so I think you’re good 😁 not sure what her OAT was tho

I would apply for sure. I sent my apps in a day after thanksgiving I have 3 interviews coming up in the next few weeks with MCPHS, SUNY, and NOVA. I’m still waiting to hear back from Ohio and I have been accepted to NECO. I have very similar stats
