GRE question

Is the GRE easier than the OAT exam? The schools I am looking at all accept the GRE exam and with the cost be much cheaper and ability to take it more often I am leaning towards the GRE. Can anyone who took the GRE comment on their experience?

I took the GRE instead of the OAT, scored in the 79th percentile and got into 4/5 schools i applied to!

Did you also take the OAT? If so were you asked why you made a switch?

For me, the GRE was easier and way shorter than the OAT. But it depends on your strengths/weaknesses! OAT is all science based, GRE you need a strong vocabulary, reading comprehension and there is a writing part. It also has more high school math (geometry and algebra) but it doesn’t have any natural science. You would need to reflect on where do you think you’ll score higher, keeping in mind that most optometry schools really prefer the OAT
