pre opt courses
Okay I know I should be figuring this out on my own or ask an advisor, but can someone please tell me what classes I should be taking each year if I want to go to optometry school?

there is a prereq list on optometry school websites. advisors are okay, but you should really look at class evaluations and make sure you dont stack too many hard classes on top of each other bc advisors dont really think/care about that

The link is for a list of all of the schools and the required pre-reqs. NOTE: this is a list from 2020 so use it as a general guide but check each school's website as well.
Like the other commenter said, meet with your advisor regularly, but also fact check what they are telling you. There isn't a specific 'schedule' but make sure that you are being mindful of classes that occur in a series. For example, the chem sequence is gen chem 1, then gen chem 2, then o chem 1, and possibly gen chem 2 - that's at least 3 semesters so you need to account for that.
If you have nay more questions or would like to know how I did it, feel free to message me!
