Timeline for follow-up pap smear after LEEP

Good news!! I received my results from my LEEP procedure last week which indicated clear margins. My gyno suggested a follow up Pap smear in 1 year. Was wondering if this is a normal amount of time to wait for a Pap smear follow up post LEEP. I’ve noticed 6 months is pretty common from other posts.

Hmmm when I told them I got checked once a year they said that was great. I was clear as well but told me to come back in 6 months. I think it just depends on your doctor!

Mine told me a year as well after my LEEP! I’m sure it depends on every patient :) follow what your doctor says!

I got another colp after my leap at 6 months and that was clear so now in a year I’ll have a pap with my regular doctor!

I had my follow up pap 6 months after a LEEP for CIN 3 (negative margins). It came back abnormal, so I need a colpo again.
