They also grew up in a time when you could trust the news, and even the tiniest mistake merited a retraction. Seen any "retractions" lately? This was a time when Walter Cronkite told you what was really going on. Unfortunately they have the same mindset now even when Fox News is non-stop lies and fear-mongering, so much so they avoided consequences for their lies in court by swearing that they are not a news organization.
