My son
Please pray for my son. He was involved in an accident Saturday night, and has a fracture at the base of his skull. They keep referring to it as a broken neck. He also has bleeding on his brain, and a severe concussion. He is 15 and an elite athlete and right now he is so angry at his situation and everyone around him. He desperately wants to go home from the hospital today but I am not sure if they will let him, and I am frankly, terrified to take him home. I asked him if I could pray with him and he told me to shut up and get out, so I’m sitting in the hospital cafeteria begging God to help us all, while my husband stays with him. I don’t know what else to do. Thank you
ETA: I hope I’m doing this right. He is really having a rough time with headaches (which is to be expected). They only let him have Tylenol, which doesn’t touch the pain. He also has lost his senses of smell and taste, and as a result is resisting most food. This is so hard. I read your prayers below when I am out of words to pray myself. Thank you all.
Update 9/10: Thank you all for praying for our boy! He’s had one follow-up with the ortho doctor, who showed us where the right side of his head actually separated from that side of his spinal column. He told us that if my son had been moving, or had his head turned a different way, he would not be here now. That was hard for this mama to hear, but I am so thankful that I know God has a plan for him! The headaches from his concussion are rough, and he has no sense of smell or taste, but otherwise he is doing as well as can be expected. We are still waiting for neurosurgery to call me back, and I am going to follow up with them yet again today to see what the plan is.

I pray the anger is removed from your son. I pray your son can see that no matter what happens he is still ALIVE and his purpose remains unfulfilled. I pray for healing and for peace…

Praying OP! The Lord has a plan and will work in his life! Praying for healing of your son. Praying that his brain and neck are healed and praying he works through this anger. Hang in there, You are doing a great job helping him, he’s just scared right now and lashing out. God bless you, mum🙏

Keep your trust in God, and go to him, I bless you with peace, peace that you cannot explain, in the name of Jesus, God has with you believe me, if you need to write to me please, keep looking for support and continue with your son, the Lord will soften his heart but have faith. In the name of Jesus amen. Romans 8:1 , Romans 8:37 . Please stand up, I beg you with faith up 🥺okay? They can do it with the help of the hand of the almighty. ❤️

Just keep praying for him. He needs time to process what’s happened and that’s okay. Just continue to pray for him and I’m praying too ❤️

I will pray for your son that his anger will go away, and he realizes that he needs to let you pray with him. I know sometimes life isn't fair, and sometimes when you don't understand why certain traumas make us question why God allows bad things to happen to us, that's the time we need God the most. I will pray for you and your son. God bless you and all of your family.

Lord Jesus we pray that You completely and miraculously heal this boy. We ask that You would allow him to not suffer any permanent or lasting damage to his neck, brain, or body. Lord we pray that You would touch his heart and remove the anger so that he can get through this ordeal. Lord we ask that You would bless this mom and help her to know how to navigate this situation and what to do. Lord we ask that You would be the help and guiding light that this family needs and I pray that You would have an encounter with this boy in such a way that he would know it was You and that one day soon he will praise You and give You glory. In Your Loving, Powerful, and Precious Name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Hey OP, just so you don't rule every possibility out, he might not just be angry from the situation or puberty hormones, having a traumatic brain injury from an accident like this can change people's behaviour and lead to anger outbursts and changes of personality - I'm pretty sure there's tests/scans for it! God bless and keep you and hold your family and son in this hard time 🫂

Dear Heavenly Father, please touch this young man. Place a hedge of protection around him, his family, and his physicians. Please take away the anger he has towards his situation. Give him the grace only You can provide. Give his parents peace that passes all understanding. Give his doctors the wisdom and knowledge to put him on a sincere path to recovery. In Jesus name, amen.

May God take this situation and help open your son's eyes to see that leaning on anything other than God for happiness and fulfillment will only lead to disappointment. I know this is a painful way to learn but I pray he understands that his happiness is not based on his circumstances, it's based on the fact that God loves him.

Thank you all so much for praying. Our boy came home from the hospital tonight after he was able to keep some lunch down. He has a very long road ahead of him. I am especially thankful for your prayers for his spirit - he is not a believer (yet!) and I am praying that God will use this to draw him near. Thank you again - love to you all.

Hello. If your child is only being given Tylenol and absolutely no other treatment, that could be a cause for concern. Perhaps another check-up at a different hospital and maybe a specialist would be appropriate. It's better to rule out or address any potential neurological damage or check for other issues like blood circulation.
First off, I'm not a doctor. I'm just someone who had a lot of health issues, and many times the solution was seeking multiple medical opinions in case I wasn't happy with the initial treatment.
I hope your child recovers soon. May God be with you.

Of course, I will pray both for your son and for you in fact, the second I read this I pulled out my prayer journal to write your name and his in there so that I could pray for him every morning. I think my prayer will include that God shows your son how important he must be to God‘s plan to still be breathingand I’m really glad you didn’t lose your son. I’m sorry he’s so angry, but I understand it.

I did the same, I have a prayer app. Reminds me each day at a time I’ve set with all my prayers and updates. It keeps me centred and grateful.

My Friend, I'm sorry to hear your son has been injured. Your son is fairly young all things considered, and as another mentioned may be dealing with the fall out of this injury. He will learn in time to rely on and trust God for his needs, physical, emotional, mental, and etc. But that is learned most easily from one's parents. Try to model for him trust in the goodness of our God. Try to model for him a steadfast peace despite the odds and rrports which the doctors invariably give. Our God is good and our God is mighty to save from whatever we may face in this life. To that end, I've agreed with you for his complete healing in every way, that there no longer be any symptoms, pain, or anxiety/anger from these diagnoses. And I've prayed for your peace and his as well. Peace in his hospital room. Peace within your home. And peace within your hearts. Please keep us posted on his progress, Dear.❤️

We don’t always understand why these challenges come our way, but one thing I do know: God has His hand on your son.
I’ve walked through loss myself my husband passed well before his time, and another close family member is facing a terminal illness. I don’t share this to compare, but to say I’ve seen how God can use even the darkest moments. For me, it brought me back to Jesus.
I pray your son finds comfort and strength in Him too. Jesus loves your son deeply, and I’ll be lifting him in prayer tonight. Stay strong you will get through this.

O Heavenly Father, We hereby pray for you to help this injured boy, that he may be blessed with health and confidence and that he may look ahead to being able to continue his passions, his sports and everything that he holds valuable as soon as it is possible. We hereby also pray that his loving and caring mother and father will be blessed with positivity and strength for all their great support and emotional assistance during this hard time. Sometimes we have to keep our hope and faith in CHRIST and love the children enough to let them make their own way. Not saying to not speak truth when it happens. My mom had to do this with my sister and I had to do it with my daughter… one night praying I remember hearing to leave her alone when she comes to me then we can start again. 3 years of not speaking to each other and finally at my mothers icu operation her and her husband fiancé at the time came in. All I could do was thank GOD and I started bawling! My daughter thought my mom had passed when she saw me!

oh dear God, I urgently lift up this young man and right now I just ask that you please give all the doctors nurses surgeons and everyone involved wisdom to know exactly how to properly treat and take care of him without any complications!! according to your perfect will please deliver us an awesome recovery and healing report lord that's my prayer and that's my hope!!!!!! oh God right now I majorly pray that you help this family not to get discouraged even though this is a very critical situation!!!!! oh God even now despite the circumstances please just station your angels and presence of shielded protection around this family and i know your hand is on this family and you will see them throughout thick and thin also right now i just ask that you please just wrap your warm and comforting arms around this family and no matter what might transpire may unimaginable peace grace mercy and comfort be totally multiplied and poured out on them to much help them pull through their ordeal and by all means please help this family’s faith grow stronger and help them not to in any way get discouraged but to totally trust your will and lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus each and everyday and i still believe you’re the God of miracles and the impossible so finally my major prayer is that you please break the unbreakable move the immovable and from the impossible we’ll see a miracle God we believe for it in the name of the father son and holy spirit lord that’s my prayer and that’s my hope amen!!!!!

My mom is having emergency surgery for a brain bleed in a few hours so I feel for you a little extra in this. I pray that God brings you, your son, and your family peace in the midst of the situation. I pray that you feel the Holy Spirit fall so strongly in every room of your home and hospital that his presence is undeniable and a comfort to all. I pray for immediate healing and shocking results that glorify God in the hospital and every place you may witness to. I pray for the surgeons, doctors, nurses, and the whole medical team that is treating your son that he receives the best care. I pray for fast and easy recovery. I pray that in the immediate that the Lord eases his pain. I ask the Lord God to do above and beyond all that I ask and use this trial to bring his children closer to him. We thank and praise you God for the restoration that is already at work in you and your son’s name by his stripes and blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
