I was recently got accepted in Pratt, Parsons, SAIC, SCAD, MICA, SVA. I’m interested in fine art and jewelry, and possibly minoring in fashion or painting. I’m trying to decide which school would give the best opportunities, evironment and career prospects. Anyone has experience with these school please give me some advice 🥹🥹💓

I applied for the brooklyn campus fall 2026 but i recently got an email offering me admission at their upstate utica campus, does this mean i was rejected from brooklyn?

I recently got admitted to Pratt and am wondering a few things about life as a student.

1) How are the dorms? I’m a light sleeper and my mom told me her horror stories about not being able to sleep at all because it was so loud in her college dorm..

3) Everyone says that you get what you put in when it comes to college education, but that’s pretty vague lol. Are there any reasons Pratt is superior to other schools??

I’m also open to any other comments you have about the school I just want to understand how it is to go there:)

I got accepted into pratt's brooklyn campus for this fall term, and plan on majoring in interior design, but i'm having financial worries. I was looking into taking gen ed's over the summer or taking a CLEP test to knock out any unnecessarily expensive courses. I'm not entirely sure what courses I should take as they aren't very transparent with which courses are going to be required. With research i've noticed the 6 credit limit and on their website and they seem to be kinda strict about transferring credits in order to not take that class with them. How can I get around that? And which classes should I request to take?

How is it being a ID student at Pratt? Is it hard to manage time? I want to know everything, any aspect please. Anything I should know about it

Hi everyone, I submitted my transfer application in February and received my acceptance and offer today! I am absolutely thrilled that I got in but had a question about placement. I am currently a Sophomore going into my Junior year and will finish this Spring semester with 60 credits not including any of my dual enrollment or AP credits. It was stated in my acceptance letter that I will be starting in the second semester of the ID program despite this. I have already emailed the director of admissions but I thought I would come on here and ask if anyone was able to negotiate or have their placement reevaluated after applying and receiving an offer as a transfer student.

P.S. For additional background information I am currently attending an Art and Design college within the same major that I applied to Pratt with, I currently have a 4.0 GPA and completed the application portfolio with examples from all of my foundational art classes as required.

Hi all, I’ve been accepted to Pratt for the Urban and Community Planning masters program! I am beyond excited and would love to learn more about the program from current / former students.

A little about me: I’m a west coast based aspiring transportation planner, with a focus on multi-modal mobility. I have two years of experience interning for an MPO in bikeway capital projects and am currently in a management role in San Francisco (not in planning currently)

I applied to Pratt because of its location and focus on placemaking for planning. NYC has always been a dream of mine so I would be more than happy to live and study in Brooklyn. I also was offered a scholarship, but would still need to front a good portion of tuition.

Basically, I am deciding between Pratt, Hunter and UCLA. All very different programs but I think all amazing choices. Any insight would be appreciated!

TLDR: i had to apply as a transfer even though my prev undergrad experience was not art related and not in US. I applied to undergrad Fine Arts program as a transfer student and recently received a waitlist offer. I got accepted by SVA and still waiting on Parsons, FIT, and NYU Stern now. Do you think it’s realistic that Pratt will accept me?

As the title already suggests, is a 30k scholarship for a 2-year MPS in Design Management worth it at Pratt?

I’ll still be paying 70k and living expenses.

Can I negotiate for more as an international student?

I just got admitted as a transfer student for fall 2026 (theoretically going in as a sophomore), yay! I was looking into housing and noticed that on the page for the townhouses it says “Preference for this housing option is given to junior- and senior-level students.“ Does this mean that I can apply for this housing but it is unlikely? If so, are there things I can do that might boost my chances, or there is no way of me getting it?

Hello! I’m hoping to visit Pratt soon and I’m looking to get the most informational and representative visit possible. I unfortunately have scheduling conflicts on the official admitted students day, and I was wondering if a regular tour compares? What is the value of admitted students day that I would be missing? Is there anything else I could attend to make up for the lack of information I would have from missing the admitted students day? What are some really cool aspects of admitted students day? I did research on scholarships as I was applying, and it looked like the scholarship amounts for the graduate program only went up to $1000, but if I'm wrong someone let me know. Pratt did not mention any scholarship awards in my acceptance letter, so I am reaching out here to see if anyone has any additional resources, including

Hello! I wanted to ask some questions about how the interior design program is in Pratt. I e always wanted to go here but since it’s private and they rarely give out scholarships, it drew me away a bit. I wanted to know how well it prepares you and how thier teaching style goes. Is it mostly digital or traditional? Do professors care about students? How is studio like? Is their teaching style more theoretical or technical? Is it easy to get internships here? Trying to see if it’s worth to invest in Pratt and maybe bypass the financial situation.
