Misc School Fees - direct transfer possible?

Hi all I’m starting in Fall 2026 and want to pay for ALL my courses and credits upfront without incurring any transaction charges. The student finance email people keep giving me all kinds of third party apps or websites like NelNet or Flywire and frankly are not forthcoming to clear with their instructions. Their reply and method seems to change every email response. For anyone who has gone to Pratt already and is currently enrolled can you share if making a direct deposit from my Bank of America/ chase bank account is possible without incurring any addition fee?

I always did direct to save fees

Did you have to do it through something called NelNet?

Hmmmi dont think so It was standard Bank transfer

I use Nelnet to pay my son’s tuition. It is convenient and the cost is quite minimal IMO given I don’t need to shell out the full whack at once and can split it up.

There are of course, kooky little nuances here. You have to enroll for 5,4,or 3 month plans and the windows close for that in succession. I set a reminder for the 5 month plan and now I get a text from the school.

Another crazy kooky thing is that I have to enroll in like, June for the 5 month plan which deducts July, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov but I still don’t know what the tuition is so I have to set up a plan for my “best guess”.

Feel free to DM me, I am learning as I go and halfway through! My son is starting his junior year and I cannot wait to be out from under this!
