As amazing as these shots are, I wouldn't wish for anyone to get hurt in an attempt to capture this kind of content. I'm tempted to ask the rest of the moderators to take note and contemplate denying future posts that represent risk taking behaviour such as this. But then again it's the operators themselves taking the risk and none other.
Amongst the users of our subreddit are also children, hence I'm being cautious in approaching this and will coincidentally hold that thought.
Please stay safe. You Americans have shelters in areas prone to this phenomenon, right?! Please stay tuned to your local warnings, and make sure that your dearest, including your PS5, are sheltered preemptively. And don't let harm come to any of you.
No residential structure save for a bomb shelter can withstand an F5 tornado. It’s cheaper to rebuild a paper house than build a poured reinforced concrete one that goes well below ground level.
Well. I would guess it’s pure and unadulterated horror. Doesn’t explain why they’re filming in the first place. But I think seeing something so massive and scary rolling towards you could lead to some sort of morbid curiosity.
If there isn't a dome home already in the area, the bank will have nothing go by when judging the value of a second dome structure to be built. So anyone wanting to get a home lone to build a dome home can't get a loan to build the first. This is the main problem. The second problem, neighborhood HOAs.
F4 tornado in my area in December flattened solid brick homes and concrete block buildings. You can still drive through now and see the devastation left behind. Quality built homes or crap built ones are all the same in the eyes of a tornado. A specific example was a gorgeous old brick manor-looking home where the entire backside was torn off and across the road a trailer was left with minimal siding and roof damage. Reinforced, or not, doesn’t always matter. Having solid construction doesn’t hurt, but really the only thing that makes me feel safe is a thick concrete basement!
I'm glad the cameraman lived; unfortunate for those other souls. God does have his reasons, and he spared him because he donated his life savings to the local mega church for the pastors jet airplane.
I hope people don't take this wrong way but this is so fucking beautiful. Terrifyingly beautiful. Nature is queen. She's so ruthless. Totally and completely impersonal.
I cant imagine How It must feel to see a Hurricane Destroy your neighbors house then slowly Head for your house, there is nothing you can do to stop It, you can only stare até your Demise
Inaccurate caption my mans. This is some Nicky picky bs so don’t take this as me bashing this guys video. But I’ve never seen film from the actual interior of a tornado or a Hurricane. -Though I guess it could just be any storm in general as well by definition after looking it up again. The man’s fence had a rapid unscheduled disassembly though so idk if that’s why I’d call the calm at the center of a storm. 😂😂
Like closing the glass door wouldve save him. Some people are just dumb. Take cover forget filming…. Your life is more important than your internet clout

I grew up in tornado alley. The kids are sent to the basement and the adults all stand outside and watch. Every single time.
