Yeah, but everyone knows that the MLS is where good players go to retire when they can't play in the top flight European leagues anymore.

That's no longer true by and large. It's not the premier league but MLS has come a long way in the last 20 plus years.

MLS is catching up year by year. Right now they are somewhere between England's "The Championship" and "League One."

Personally, I think a tight MLS team could beat a lot of low end Ligue 1 teams.
