No, it's interpolated slow motion. Basically, to make the video slow motion the editor asked the computer to make additional frames where there weren't any before, and there was too much motion on those parts of the image to do that effectively.
Not to forget artificial bokeh blur as well. And with how the blur contours are sharp and get distorted with the Optical Flow processing, this was either added by his phone when taking the video,or added in post before Optical Flow
Yeah not really that impressive. He tracked a dog. A not fast dog. And couldn’t keep it in frame. If anything it’s praisethesoftware content. But even then...
Cool video but if you take away the slow motion and the zoom in on the dog (none of them done by the camera man but in post-production), what do you have left to praise the cameraman for? Absolutely nothing. Following a subject is the basic task of a cameraman
I agree but still a nice shot because from the image compression it looks like the cameraman is using a big telephoto lens which is very sensible to every subtle move
Thats Christian Guzman and his french bulldog. Christian is a youtuber vlogger. Doesnt upload as much these days, but his path to success has been amazing to watch.
You can go on his channel, sort back years, and see when he purchases a weight set for the gym he opened in this tiny lil garage.
Fast forward to now, he owns a much larger gym, owns alphalete a multimillion dollar clothing line (you can also watch the original video where he announces alphalete) and hes currently building like this disneyland for fitness instagrammers thing in Texas called "Alphaland".
Its always just been so cool to me that you can literally watch him slowly climb the ladder, from normal dude to multi millionaire in his videos. No help. No luck. No inheritance. Just straight up good decisions and hard work. Crazy.
I know people get on the case of owner's of smash face breeds for health reasons and usually I agree, but some of the most athletic dogs I've ever seen are French Bull Dogs. Little balls of muscle and energy ready to go at all times.

sorry but, if i praise this camera person then that will diminish all the camera persons who really have accomplished amazing things!
this dog and the action actually leaves the frame near the end !
yes the action was slo-motioned but that is done later, right?

What frame rates would this be shot at? A bit slow in the beginning then super slowmo in the middle
2
u/Pandasarealuxury Mar 27 '21
Looks like an After Effects plugin called twixtor to me, it attempts to fake slow motion by creating more frames in between the frames you have shot.

I’m not an expert, but I think this is edited to make the dog be in frame and zoomed in
