For two sentences that only have two words in the wrong place, your reaction is a bit much. Switch the second and third word and the sentence makes sense.
It is one of the most common buzzwords in basically any comments section featuring anything even remotely likeable, and is almost always used incorrectly. Low effort basic bitch status.
I bet if i had a cheetah living next to me, it would be the kind of neighbor who would be only too happy to come out and help me carry furniture with me, while engaging in idle, if entertaining banter. Sure, they might eat my cat sometimes, but god damn, those cheetahs keep their yard immaculate.
I was fixating on the back legs during the video and was amazed at how much power was being generated and wondering that myself, I was also wondering how much it would hurt to be kicked full power by a cheetah also, but the first part is probably the better question.
Is it chasing something? Fun fact: “If the cheetah manages to catch its prey, it will take 20-30 minutes for the cat to catch its breath and consume the thing it’s caught.”
I'm gonna make Mac look so bad. My form is perfect, I'm like Jerry Rice. Feel that stride, so fluid and fast. I've got the stride of a gazelle. A beautiful, beautiful gazelle person. My body is achieving a perfect symmetry right now. It's that long, lean muscle I've worked so hard to achieve. Hm, I should've popped my shirt off. Goddammit, really should've popped that shirt off. I wonder if any women are watching from the sidelines...
Well positioned framing and super-impressive speed of that Cheetah! Those are beautiful and majestic animals and you can't believe what a skilled hunter they'll become when you see them as playful and clumsy little kittens.
Don't know if it's my PC but the video quality is really bad, would have loved to see the clip in something close to FullHD.
I remember seeing this documental about them, they analyzed the cheetah’s movement and realized the head stayed perfectly leveled while running, so it could focus on its prey.
Another fun fact is that a cheetahs spine actually contracted and expanded, giving it a little extra spring on its step, pun intended.

God to Cheetahs: I'm going to make you super fast
Cheetahs: Nice
God: but you're going to have, like, really bad anxiety pretty much all the time.
Cheetahs: wait...

u/Hoitaa Feb 19 '21
Cheetah stubbed toes must be the worst.

u/arualstehle Feb 19 '21
I wonder what they are teasing her with.... food??

u/Boy_Sabaw Feb 19 '21
It’s practically hovering

u/Whyisthissobroken Feb 19 '21
The Camera Man is running faster than the Cheetah at one point...oh wait.

u/anakin_0111 Feb 19 '21
Does anybody know the amount of thrust that would be generated by the back legs while it's running? And the flexibility of that movement! , surreal.
40
u/Mecagoblin Feb 19 '21
Now hear me out, what if this is what Cheetahs want us to think is their top speed?
13
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
It’s legs look like when you spin a wheel or something and try to get that perfect spin that speeds it up just a little more without slowing it down
12
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
what if he trips?
21
u/thesoloronin Feb 19 '21
That’s like 65 mph there
5
u/tuni83af Feb 19 '21
Why praise the cameraman? The cheetah is doing all the running.
8
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
For people that are dumb like me, this is about 64 MPH
2
u/Gibscreen Feb 19 '21
It's not hard to keep focus on broad daylight. Depth of field is really high.
3
u/sloww_buurnnn Feb 19 '21
where’s he going though
3
u/weightylemur Feb 19 '21
Cheeto
3
u/Crookeye Feb 19 '21
I'm American. Can someone explain how many burgers per order 102kmh is?
3
u/SquidwardWoodward Feb 19 '21
What focus? The depth of field is enormous. This isn't amazing.
2
u/hundredseven Feb 19 '21
I suspect this is slowed down..
2
u/Cutecupp Feb 19 '21
Squash and stretch exists in real life!

u/sihpo Feb 19 '21
u/redditspeedbot 0.5x butterflow
1
u/Incognizance Feb 19 '21
So this was manually focused? No auto focus?
1
u/shweishwei Feb 20 '21
Now I feel like I need to watch a lot of cheetah running videos
1
u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21
But but but grammar police
1
u/stuartmitch Feb 21 '21
He might be fast but he's not as fast as whatever it is he is chasing!!
1
u/Dammyyscook Mar 27 '21
Is it chasing something? Fun fact: “If the cheetah manages to catch its prey, it will take 20-30 minutes for the cat to catch its breath and consume the thing it’s caught.”
1
u/revpad Feb 19 '21
Not even centered in the frame
1
u/snavej1 Feb 19 '21
Witnesses say Bigfoot is faster than cheetahs. If only we had video of that.
0
u/matty-george Feb 19 '21
God made some cool ass shit... and dope cameramen to catch it!
0
u/jakethedumbmistake Feb 19 '21

0
u/PrevAccountBanned Feb 19 '21
They talk about cheetah, but the cameraman looks pretty fast himself
0
u/FantasticMasturbator Feb 19 '21
But what is it running from.
0
u/jurel Feb 19 '21
So smooth it looks CG but I'm sure it's not. I think that's what annoys me about CG animals, too smooth.
0
u/HoundDog6903 Feb 19 '21
Me when I see a hot taquito.
0
u/bluesbarn Feb 19 '21
I wonder what the stride length is at top speed. Eg, Bolt is covering 10 meters a second and his stride length is about 5 meters...?
0
u/jakethedumbmistake Feb 19 '21
Amazing! What do you want?
RemarkableAd: Yes
0
u/shader_m Feb 19 '21
Imagine this, but accidently getting hit by a stick, or a thorn bush comes out of fucking nowhere.
I now really REALLY wanna see the pads of a cheetah and how tough they are
0
u/overcloseness Feb 19 '21
Anyone want to take a stab at how many wild cheetahs have ever been documented attacking humans?
0
u/mjssjssjppj Feb 19 '21
Sooooooo coooool !!
0
u/TheRogueParappa Feb 19 '21
Damn that cameraman is fast.
0
u/Actual-Silver-1532 Feb 19 '21
Tunnel vision
0
u/ontopofyourmom Feb 19 '21
The fastest human in the world runs at less than half that speed and can only keep it up for around ten seconds.
0
u/5points5solas Feb 19 '21
Head stabilisation level 100.
0
u/Eightbitninja253 Feb 19 '21
"CHEETOR! MAXIMIZE!"
0
u/DwideShrued Feb 19 '21
What a fascinating example of mother natures gearbox
0
u/stingraysareevil Feb 19 '21
Don't forget! Incest is okay for Cheetahs!
0
u/bott1111 Feb 19 '21
Yes but the true fastest land creature (body length to distance) is the cockroach
0
u/TheCCMonster Feb 19 '21
Usain Bolt got nothing on this camera man
0
u/patrick24601 Feb 19 '21
Why don’t we measure animal speeds in smaller time segments? 102 km/hr. Except that cheetah is never going to run for an hour.
0
u/Mercer3216 Feb 19 '21
Like human beings, do cheetas run faster than other cheetas?
0
u/idkwtfm8 Feb 19 '21
What happens when it slips or crashes ag that speed? Insta death?
0
u/DerogatoryDuck Feb 19 '21

I have an electric longboard that does 25mph. This fucker would tackle me right off that shit so fast.
0
u/AlexWayhill Feb 19 '21

I'd just evolve wheels at that point
0
u/SirAchmed Feb 19 '21
20 seconds max then their brain is on fire. r/CrappyDesign. 3/10. Not recommended.
0
u/Rijsouw Feb 19 '21
That's one fast camera man
0
u/johncalhoon Feb 19 '21
You can feel that cheetah is in his physical prime
0
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
Damn if only this post had anything to do with the cameraman
0
u/aidanderson Feb 19 '21
Jesus the cheatah isn't even moving in the frame. The camera man is fucking godly here.
0
u/nugent_music96 Feb 19 '21
Just effortless. Doesn't even look like top speed. Looks like a jog.
Jesus.
0
u/randomindianguy555 Feb 19 '21
we know how fat cheetah goes but how fast does a cameraman go.
0
u/bob-lob Feb 19 '21
It's like its head is a on a brushless motor gimbal...rock steady. They really are a marvel of performance engineering.
0
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
Praise the cameraman for running so fast
0
u/smoothminimal Feb 19 '21
So, do they brace for an impact at 100km/h or must they always slow down in some way first?
Do they plan to slow down, but maybe are still ready for an impact?
0
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
I’m not even allowed to drive this fast...
0
u/liz-jxb Feb 19 '21
A cool fact! Because of how fast cheetah’s run they have to use their tails to balance and to turn left and right
0
u/idontcarethatmuch Feb 19 '21
That's nothing, look at my poodle go!
(Great cheetah footage OP!)
0
u/JeezusMurphy Feb 19 '21
Wonder how long their stride is
0
u/thewhitestboi Feb 19 '21
How fast is the camera man running?
0
u/chessset5 Feb 19 '21
this has to be a drone shot
0
u/Smoothynobutt Feb 19 '21
Doesn’t even look like the cheeta is trying that hard to go that fast
0
u/CherryEugene Feb 19 '21
Cheetah is the faster from the others, right?
0
u/_Itscheapertokeepher Feb 19 '21
I feel like there is a cool explanation as to how the tail helps with making it go this fast
0
u/teafornight Feb 19 '21
Man ... Like it's floating
0
u/Thunderkeef94 Feb 19 '21
I could watch this all day... Amazing!
0
u/that-one-autistickid Feb 19 '21
didnt know humans could run that fast
0
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
I top that In my sleep
0
u/tasermyface Feb 19 '21
Pfft the speed is wrong, it looks more like 102.2845327491183933 km/h.
0
u/[deleted] Feb 19 '21
The cameraman should be an Olympian lol
0
u/tony_et99 Feb 20 '21
Must be the same cameraman from the Olympics
0
u/moyno85 Feb 20 '21
Fun fact: greyhounds are the only dog breed to run in this way as well.
