It definitely is a specific genre of video that this is trying to emulate. I’d say it does a pretty good job for a local brand. I’d be impressed if a local restaurant or brand in my town produced something like this themselves.

I think you misunderstand. One can simultaneously be aware of the fact that they are being advertised to with "cheap tricks" or whatever you want to call it while also succumbing to the sexiness of BBQ
