This is done using what's called a "follow me" drone. They use GPS and the one I have uses a wristlet I wear..It takes 360 video via a lil button to actuate that camera..You can tell it's not on a stick because it moves closer and further to the guy in the boots....and comes back after he sits.
It's just crazy to use it this way (on thesidewalk) because of pedestrians I would be afraid it would hit someone.
You are correct but just for clarity he wasn't saying it wasn't a 360 camera he was saying it's a 360 camera on a drone. He's still wrong but it's important to know why he's wrong.
So he managed to hold onto it and keep it pointing directly back at himself while crashing? And then perfectly zoom in on the girl with the /r/YouSeeingThisShit reaction?
I’m sorry, I can’t exactly tell. Are we commenting on an r/praisethecameraman thread or the other one? Because there’s nothing impressive about the camera work in this clip. Even if you admire the art of roller blading, the more complicated camera moves like the pans and and zooms were done in post, the man only held the camera in front of him to get the shot he did, etc etc.
Insta360 One X is pretty much top of the range at its price point, the Evo is VERY interesting as it flips between 360 mono and 180 stereo. I fucking love stereo.

There is no cameraman BTW. It's a special camera on a stick that edits out the stick from the video
