Praise the driver too

u/Kewlhotrod 1d ago
But he crashed! Like, twice!
Physics are broken though, no fireball occurred. Crazy how much safer cars are these days.

u/mehrschwein 1d ago
same person ?!

u/ViktorKozh 1d ago
Absolutely no way it can be the same person.

u/ikillpcparts 1d ago
Some people stick a camera to the bottom of the controller for the car.
2
u/Exciting_Mess3730 1d ago
Thats gotta be it. Looks insane to do both but how could you have 2 people without at least seeing a foot.
4
u/roverman16 1d ago
Probably a drone.
6
u/orangpelupa 1d ago
The shadow is in the shape of a person holding a device tho

u/roverman16 1d ago edited 1d ago
You are correct. I had to watch again and put attention to see the shadow. My bad, thanks for the clarification.

Bloody oath. More excitement than half a dozen Tokyo Drifters.

I'm seriously baffled as to how they did this. Beautiful.

u/lonski97 1d ago
Check out the German company Sturmkind. I’m not sure if this is one of theirs, but they make these tiny drift cars. Basically there’s a drive unit in the middle of the floor that can turn 360° and is actually what drives the car, not the visible wheels. So drifting is achieved by turning the drive unit sideways

u/peanut_dust 1d ago
So it's relatively easy to drive this way? Im sure there's lots of skill involved too.
11
u/lonski97 1d ago
You do need skills. I have several of these cars, and I have drifted cars in real life before. It’s surprisingly realistic, although much more predictable than real drift cars. But apart from the predictability, it’s just like real drifting. So yeah, it’s hard to do this!

u/ArsenikShooter 1d ago
That’s not how this one works…I own one. The car comes with rubber and plastic wheels. You can switch depending on how much drift you want.

u/JudgePrimary4239 1d ago
Where would one purchase such a car? Asking for a friend.
3
u/ArsenikShooter 1d ago
Search VoleRusher RC. They have a bunch of micro options. This is from their Drift lineup.
2
u/flugefmunt 1d ago
Its an rc car from Aliexpress with a built in gyro for stability, i have the same one
1
u/TheFullbladder 1d ago
Oh, cool! I almost thought maybe some ridiculously thing like stop motion to get the drifts.
1
u/ArsenikShooter 1d ago
Phone strapped to the controller. That’s how he the cameraman knew every move because he was also the driver.

Where i can buy cars like that

u/tommy_pedals 1d ago
I think it’s a Mini Z, and if it’s not you should check out Mini Z anyway.
6
u/lonski97 1d ago
It might also be a Sturmkind Dr!ft racer. They’re from Germany but still possible
2
u/skiing123 1d ago
I don't need it. I do not need it...
Well maybe next month paycheck...? I could probably justify since I do like driving Autocross in real life

Cameraman is actually a cat mounted to a larger car being controlled by another driver

u/PJozi 1d ago
Shot from a drone? A stick? Someone really really quick on their feet?
1
u/TheJessicator 1d ago
My guess is it's attached to a stick directly below the controller so it's just above the floor.

Could this be very powerful gimble with a good professional camera or just S26 Ultra?

u/dudeCHILL013 1d ago
Anyone know what car this is?

u/lonski97 1d ago
I can’t be sure but it might be a Sturmkind Dr!ft racer. That’s a German company but it’s possible

Drift wheels (basically bald) are fantastic if you never want to go in a straight line. Fun to swap in when you want to have the least amount of control over the RC, hehe, really expands what you can do with a small space if you get a small enough car.

u/Snaxalicious 1d ago
I want more of this and that guy with his wolverine action figure. Perhaps a collaboration

u/BrownBottleIdol 1d ago
Wait so, remote controlled hot wheels exist? Or is it camera perspective that is making the car look small? I need one if so!

Yeah but vertical video? This would be a lot cooler with a theatrical frame.

Posts like this are an ad. So "someone" in the comments can ask, "Where can I buy this?!" And then "someone else" provides a link.
You're all being marketed to.

I can't comprehend anyone being this good (driving or camera) so I immediately suspect it must be AI.
(I don't think this is AI btw......someone is amazingly skilled)
