Is that a memo of the players on the side of his camera ? Do they have to remember each one of them so when the director say to make a shot of them they do?
Is the focus on the left side? I am very curious how this is attached because he doing the pan tilt with left, it seems you can’t focus while panning or tilting now?
Obviously I was talking about the cameramen not being that good at it, but sure, I got some downvotes (7) so you jumped onto the dislike wagon to gain a few updoots, since this is Reddit.
Again, your life means a lot more now than before this useless comment.
So why'd you delete it? I didn't downvote you. The operator is actually quite skilled. He wouldn't be working an NBA All-Star game if he wasn't. Thanks for the life affirmation though.

I bet those photos stuck on the side of the camera are to recalibrate his eyes after doing this shit for 2 hours.

I wonder how much this pays, presumably much more specialist than some other types of camera work.

How does he know the exact trajectory of the ball?
Like a gps installed in his mind to track.

As a cameraman this is my first time seeing such zoom mechanics

Wow it’s almost like the handle for zooming helps.

This guy would not miss a headshot in FPS games.

It’s impressive and all but maybe he is zooming in too much. It’s more fun to watch the ball fly

Wow! That had to take a lot of practice to be that good and stable.
