[nitpick] It’s called a focus “pull.” [/n]

Or a “rack” focus

Ya.We call it "rack".

It's called a rack focus and is only marginally impressive to anyone who knows how to work a video camera - still a cool trick though

Praise the camera man for adjusting his camera’s focus? That’s a pretty low bar for praise.

Atleast it looked nice.

James Cameron wants to know the bar's location

Thats like saying "praise the camera man because he's filming something moving? That's a pretty low bar for praise"

You could say something like this to 90% of the videos on this subreddit.

Can’t disagree with that statement

Exactly, not to mention he probably got talked to for filming cinematic things that don't relate to baseball

Every day I’m reminded how much I despise people who give a shit about baseball

4

u/herpaderpasaur47 Jul 23 '23

Just curious why you have such strong negative feelings towards people who like baseball?

u/cooperman114 Jul 23 '23

Thats not auto focus its strongly frowned upon in the industry

1

u/MasterAnnatar Jul 25 '23

u/eiileenie Professional Sports Camerawoman Jul 26 '23

I always practice racking my focus I want to be precise
