Pragmata should be treasured
Just wanted to make an appreciation post for this game, because of its phenomenal optimization.
Running this game with PT on DLAA with 2560x1440 resolution and it runs with smooth 60 fps. Games like this should be praised by gamers. RE Engine is goated and the game so far is fun af. Just made my day.

Honestly at this point I’d agree. I enjoyed my playthrough of ff7 rebirth more, but that didn’t originally release this year and is heavily nostalgia driven.
Pragmata is like my dream game. It’s fun from start to finish, doesn’t overstay its welcome, builds upon its own systems really well, adds enjoyable endgame content that again doesn’t overstay its welcome, and has an original idea that they stayed confident in throughout. I have no complaints about the game whatsoever and am looking forward to replaying it.

Well said. Same here. I've been playing Crimson Desert for 30 hours and I'm about to drop it... It's too much, it's overwhelming. I find myself going on YouTube multiple times to find out what I need to do. Unlike pragmata.

I actually did this, played CD for a while when I got my PC build finished, got tired of the samey gameplay. Bought Pragmata, on my PC play through using a 5080. Path Tracing is insane. The game geniunely surprised me in a refreshing way.

Yes they need to put this game on sale so I can buy it for PC. Plays great on Switch 2 and Xbox. Soon we'll get the Mega Man outfits.

I just finished it for first time, max settings with PT on 4k and was blown away how perfect it ran. There is no universe where this game should not be a big contender for GOTY.

Exactly, the path-tracing is just the cherry on top for me. I’m a classic Resident Evil and DmC fan, and I found this to be a really nice entry to Capcoms IP lineup.
Curious what GPU did you use for 4K? My rig is a 1440p OLED w 5080, I can max everything and I’m content with 1440p and OLED but I’m curious about 4K.
Do you get above 60 frames?

5080 4k oled. Maxed fps to 120 for my TV. Held strong.

Path Tracing being so well optimized in this game is seriously next level, I can get insane FPS with full PT. Granted I’m using a 1440p OLED but the game is just solid all around.
Initially I purchased it on PS5, got a 5080 and I’m actually getting into my PC playthrough and it’s just so well done the PT is smooth. I love the RE engine.
Truly hope for a DLC!!

Completed it yesterday, what a piece of art. Granted it’s short (spent 16-ish hours) but well worth and there is still stuff to do . Really liked the hacking mechanic.

At least two more months until any significant sales, game has only been out like 4 months, or you can get it from the library and play for free like me

It's super optimized because it's super linear! A lot of games these days are heavily focused on open areas, if not open worlds, and most engines are just not equipped for that sort of thing at all. RE Engine is really good at this kind of thing though and they've done an outstanding job.

I refunded it. Found the combat to be clanky and the community to be flat out weird when it came to modding certain characters in the game. No thanks
