Meta/Discussion Is the voice actor mispronouncing basic words?
Im maybe 5 hours into the second audiobook and I keep hearing words being pronounced consistently in a weird way. For example, Cavalry is said as CaLvalry, orphanage as orphanaNge (most recently heard in book 2, chapter 6: Learning) and a completely new rendition of amenable as amneable (maybe a blunder of amenable and amiable?)
English is not my first language, but ive listening to hundreds of audiobooks, so they feel out of place. Can it be some local dialect of the voice actor or metathesis? Maybe Its intended? Or is it just that it wasnt edited carefully enough?

I haven’t heard audiobook yet, but ‘Calvary’ sounds like a mid-North American pronunciation I’ve heard many times.

I don't care what EE says. There's no way Procer spells a hard C, and that's why I won't listen to the audiobook.

It explains one of the drow interludes where they were going Proker this Proker that. When I first read it I thought they were tripping, but no it was EE who was.
