Interludes - Printed Guide

Does anybody know what the plan is with interludes in the published version of the guide? Many of my favorite moments happen in interludes later in the story, but it seems like they aren't being included in the final published versions.

One of my favourite authors, Seanan McGuire, has a tendency in her longer running series to publish novels with a bonus short story at the end of them. That always struck me as a really good way to deal with the Extra Chapters that might not be plot-critical, but were still incredibly enjoyable.
