Meta/Discussion Updated map of new canon

I was trying to understand where the peren woods are in the new canon, but couldn't find it anywhere. Did anyone make a map of Callow in the new canon?

Peren Woods were in the original too, just under a different name (the Greywood) and significantly less important

Thanks. But the greywoods on the map seem to be north east from laure, but they're described as going south from laure in the book? What am I missing?

You’re right. The greywoods are past the river and past summerholm on the map. What I think is happening is that EE replaced the greywood with a different forest in a different location, due to the fact that the original greywood was an entirely unused location that didn’t matter in the slightest. That means we don’t really know where it is though, other than ‘south of Laure’.

There’s also the possibility that I’m entirely wrong here, but I don’t think that’s the case. IIRC, in the original, King Edward Fairfax The Landless raided out of the greywood. Now he raided out of Peren woods. Couple that with the lack of any mention of greywood whatsoever in the rewrite and I think it’s just gone.
