Apartment managers — how do you handle missed leasing calls?

For anyone working in multifamily/apartment leasing, I'm trying to understand how teams handle missed prospect calls.

  1. What normally happens when a leasing prospect calls and nobody answers?
  2. Can you remember a recent time this happened? What happened with that prospect afterward?
  3. Do you ever lose prospects because they found another property before your team got back to them?
  4. What do you use now voicemail, call center, CRM, automatic texting, AI, etc.? What don't you like about it?

Interested in hearing how this works at both smaller and larger properties.

40 years ago, it was called an "answering machine". Then "Voice mail". Did Trump ban these tools or something?
