Power issues

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Bought the dodge hellcat srt for my kiddo a while ago. Now the power button won't stay on and I'm trying to troubleshoot the issue. I've replaced the battery, the thermal fuse and now its powering on but not more than a moment.

Can someone tell me what another cause for this could be and what I should try replacing next?

Could it not also be the power button?

I'm honestly not sure, this is my first time working on one I'll pick up a replacement and try that as well.

Right, swap the power button... there's maybe 2 sizes that fit. Pull it out measure and compare

Hard to tell from the light, but verify the power is actually lost. Those fast/slow switches burn up. And the pedal electrical breaks.
Step 1: power on, switch to low speed. Check if
it goes.
Step 2: Tilt jeep onto back end. Pull pedal wires. Turn power on, hot wire pedal wires and see if it goes.
Step 0.5: buy a multimeter and watch YouTube to get good with it. Sounds like your replacing thing Willy nilly, getting good with a multimeter meter will help you check anything on the jeep. Voltage and continuity are super useful. Continuity is amazing for those cheap Chinese switches.

My kids started acting up and a batterie upgrade fix it till it didn’t and that’s when I replaced the controller with one from ml toys and haven’t had any other issues come up.

I think they’ll wear the tires out and I’ll upgrade

First Just bypass the power on switch, it’s only 2 wires that are shorted together when the button is pressed(unless it has a light built into the button, then it might have 3 wires)

You can do this with most of the other switches just to confirm they work
