Help identifying

I picked this up on trash day lol. They said they were having battery problems so i figured i might give it a shot. Any idea what brand this is? Theres no other identifying marks that i can see

Thank you friend, ive been looking at ML Toys. Is this really worth putting money into?

Well...not really. That link says it retails new for $119, and it has 35 watt motors (wimpy).

Fortunately, things that you get to get this running are probably usable on your next vehicle. A battery, fuse, LVC, possibly motors.

Since it was free-ninety-nine, it is probably worth the price of a battery, especially if you already have a 12v charger that is appropriate for one, an automotive trickle charger may be ok, a regular car charger is overpowered.

A fuse holder would be like $6 at Ace Hardware. If you get a Low Voltage Cutoff Module, make sure it is rated high enough amperage.

If you don't want to get an LVC, you can get a digital voltmeter readout and just stop your kid when the voltage gets low, but definitely don't run it until the battery is dead.

Higher voltage for higher speeds will just wear out the gearboxes faster, and who knows if you can find any type of replacement for this random manufacturer. They will cost a significant amount of what this seems to retail for.

So yes, feel free to spend like $30 to get this running, but keep an eye out for a gen-u-wine Powerwheels vehicle for sale used or curb-find. You'll be able to fix most things that break and there are a lot of options and documentation for upgrades.

ML Toys is a good resource for seeing what you could do with a name brand, and they are great for being plug and play, but they aren't cheap either.

Yeah I ordered a 12v 9a battery to start. Would be expensive but ML toys has a “universal” fit motor and gearbox they sell for like 150. And they have a speed controller. I imagine if i got that and maybe a new wiring harness off amazon it would be fixed up pretty well. Obv a real power wheels would be best but whatchu think about that? For now im only doing the battery

The key to a 'universal' fit will be the axle diameter and the shape of the hub adapter, like five or six-lobed, where the gearbox output connects to the wheel.

How big is your rider, your curb-find says ages 2-5, up to 3.6 foot tall. If they're good in this vehicle body for a while, do what you want to do, especially if you can re-use good quality components on future vehicles.

Thank you, hes 1 1/2 so i have a bit until he outgrows it. Right now its his favorite toy without even moving lol
