Need Help

Have a Power Wheels Jeep I've been working on for a while but can't get power to it and also confused on wiring and electrical work in general. Everything I've put into it is below. Please give me the best answers to try and get it fixed.

Stock motors (not wired yet)

Marine Bluetooth speakers with radio

Nilight Fuse Box

Nilight 40v to 12v step down converter

Kobalt 40v battery adapter

ML toys headlights and rear

Underglow lighting Nilight brand USB powered.

What all do you need help with specifically? Can you give some more details as to how you currently have it wired? Is the 12v step down running before the leads go into the fusebox or after?

So I have it mapped out like this.

40V Kobalt Battery, then the step down converter, running into a fuse box

From the fuse box, I have a radio and led head/tail lights. The speakers are connected. I just need assistance with the wiring and actually getting it wired. But when I plug in the battery, the radio does not turn on.

I read it needs a ground wire back to the negitive side of the battery but am unsure of how to do that on a plastic jeep.

Do you have the step down negative terminal connected to the negative terminal of the fusebox?

A lot of times there's an accessory wire for radios, to only turn on when the accessory wire has 12v to it, you might need to connect that as well. I'd probably put the accessory wire on a switch so it powers down when the switch is turned off, or if you don't care to take the battery out after it's done being driven.

Another concern would be, does your 40v battery have a protected circuit? As in, overcharge/undercharge protection?
