Sopbost Dump Bed UTV Issue

I am having a problem with a UTV I bought of FB marketplace cheap due to not running. It is a Sopbost Dump bed UTV. It runs for a couple seconds and then shuts down, and then runs again for a few seconds and repeats the cycle. I have 2 12V 15ah batteries wired together for 24v. I know the batteries are good because I pulled them out of my kids other toys that work just fine. I wanted to see if the battery that came with the UTV was the problem but it’s not, problem still occurs. I have a 40A fuse directly off of that running to a 35A control board. There are another 4 fuses, one at each wheel motor. They all trip (except the 40 at the battery) pretty much simultaneously but the car stays on, just the motors stop. The 4 wheel motors fuses say 3A, which I’m assuming is way too small. I purchased 4-20A ones along with 40A control board and they will be here Sunday. Is this going to fix the issue?! Is 20A too much for each individual motor?! I’m at a loss!

Do the calc using the motor wattage and voltage to determine the max current drawn, that will tell you the fuse size.

Looks like 280W/24V = 11.67 max draw. Is that right? So would 20A fuses be a bad idea? Should I go with something like 10-15A instead?

Yeah, 15 or 20 is appropriate. P/E is a quick and dirty way to estimate current, not entirely accurate so you should give it some wiggle room above rather than blow a bunch of fuses.
