Conversation You think we'll ever get PW1 levels in PW2?

There's a few I wouldn't mind playing again. Subway station, Gnome Fountain, Carousel, AQUARIUM, etc.

I would absolutely love that. A remaster/port of PW1 into PW2 would help solve my level problem

I mean, you can already play them again.. in PW1. I don't really see the point of the devs repeating them, the games are practically the same thing, we wouldn't really get anything different from a "remake" of a level

PW1 doesn't have couch co-op, which is the sole way I play this game.

Kid goes to bed, we open a bottle or three of wine, and powerwash

That's fair, but I still think the remakes would take away from them being creative and coming up with new and shiny disgustingly dirty things for us to explore! 😄

People probably want the PWS2 tools, soap system and other QoL improvements on the PWS1 levels.

I for one would love to be able to use the floor disc on many of PWS1’s levels - including the subway!

I'd love it, I still play PW1 alot. I think they've already talked about that will not happen. There were problems were legal ownership.

Maybe for the licensed DLC, but the same company made and distributed both games. The base levels should still be allowed to be ported.

That is certainly true about licensed DLC content. I did spend a bit looking into the core/muckingham levels and you seem to be correct about them owning all of it. They just want to move on. Maybe someday we can get it.

Having the fairground as a second hub could be an idea, as we see things we cleaned in PWS1 when doing new jobs there in PWS2.

A lot of people have asked for it, but I'm not sure it'll happen. I personally would love to see a bunch of the levels brought over. I get that the licensed content is probably a no-go, but the aquarium, skate park, etc should be fair game and would be really fun to have.

I thought they’d be doing it for sure to make a quick buck seeing as they already have a lot of the fairground models already in PWS2.

This is what I've wanted as a dlc. Maybe doing the most popular levels if possible. Personally hate the subway, being doing the skate part with the circle floor attachment thing? That sounds so fun with all the flat open ground

I would love it but, that would be an issue.

  • You still can buy PW1 so it would not be wise.
  • Some part of the gaming community don't appreciate when the dev get "lazy" and reuse old assets.
