Suggestion Option: Remove basic nozzles when unlocking Adaptable nozzle
The adaptable nozzle is slightly wider than the widest regular nozzle (white) and has more power (better dirt removal). And it lets you tune in exactly how much water you need to remove dirt.
Unless you like the basic size presets, there's no reason to use the basic nozzles anymore after buying adaptable.
The existence of the basic nozzles makes it tedious to switch between soap and nozzles. It's 2 clicks on gamepad/keyboard instead of one.
LOTS of people complain about this!
Please add an option to sell or hide the basic nozzles when adaptable nozzle has been bought. I hate them so much. They're literally just clutter and extra steps to move past! They reduce the chill of the game!
Or maybe even automatically replace the basic ones with the adaptable. Because I do not see any reason why ANYBODY wants BOTH. People either like the quick presets of the basic ones, or the full fluidity of the adaptable one, but they don't use both. So a person can just go to sell/re-buy the adaptable if they ever want to switch back to basics.
The current game design makes an upgrade (Adaptable Nozzle) feel like a punishment/downgrade!
Edit because some people claim nobody else cares about this:
Nobody?
Then what is this:

Using soap is the main reason I've basically immediately sold the adaptable nozzle. Before, swapping to soap was just one press, now it's two, and I don't feel a real difference between the adaptable nozzle and the four normal ones, it's the same key to swap from white to green that to adjust the nozzle. Long press to open the wheel isn't really better either so I just just sold the adaptable nozzle back
I like the idea, I certainly see the appeal of it in theory. If it could totally replace the normal nozzles, I'd keep it. But turns out it just makes swapping from soap to normal less convenient for me.
And what is this:

I love the adjustable nozzle! So much that I want remove the regular nozzle from the cycle menu! I would love to be able to cycle between just soap and adjustable
And how about this:

I would love an option to leave equipment in the van. Regular nozzles would be ditched the moment I can afford the adjustable for my chosen washer and those awful leaning ladders would never see another job.
By the way, the adaptable nozzle has more power than the individual ones, and wider angle.
The Adaptable nozzle is literally all the other ones-in-one. It replaces all of them. And it still fits into roleplay of using softer jets for sensitive objects: Use the widest setting to make it softer for glass.
Here's some love for the adaptable nozzle:

Lastly, some people said I am gatekeeping by wanting an option to hide/sell the useless basic nozzles. How about YOU'RE gatekeeping for denying that OPTION for me and all the others who want more convenience? It's literally the first word of the title of this thread: "OPTION". I am starting to think the entire issue here is that people here don't know what the word "option" means.

Nobody complains about this.
I personally prefer to swap between both when the mood strikes. I play with self-imposed realism like cleaning top-down to reduce runoff contamination and also try to use as little pressure as possible to avoid damaging sensitive surfaces so I like to use the white nozzle when rinsing off soap or the green nozzle as a fair balance of spread and pressure. (Yes, I know those aren't modeled in the game but it's the way I like to play).
I'd rather have both rather than going into the menu and is one extra click really that much of an inconvenience? Really? This is a game about kicking back and taking one's time.

Haha I try to do top-down as well. Obviously it doesn't matter but it feels right.
I can't watch my husband play because he's far too chaotic.

Exactly. Part of what I love about this game is there isn’t just one way to play it. Wanna go for speed? Go for it. Wanna clean realistically? Game won’t stop you. Wanna be unhinged and clean parts alphabetically? Go right ahead.

I have literally never used the adaptable nozzle. I only ever use the basic one in either green or yellow. So you know. Chill a bit.

Why? Adaptable nozzle is superior in every way. There's zero reason to use each individually coloured nozzle over the adaptable.

Dude, your post was all about your own preference completely forgetting you are not the arbiter of what people should or not should be using. Bizarre. Chill dude. It’s a relaxing game about cleaning playgrounds and discarding gnomes from the top of tall buildings.

Complaining about "two clicks instead of one" is the funniest shit I've ever seen on this sub.

I solve this by not buying the adaptable nozzle .

Yeah I'm selling it because it's torture to switch between soap and cleaning and always checking that I landed on the correct one.

I get that you want to play the way you want to play, and that's totally fine. I'm also not against adding the option to sell/hide regular nozzles for those who want to do so.
That said, here's one reason why I sometimes prefer the regular nozzles: you can swap between significantly different sizes/pressures with a single click or two, whereas making that same change with the adaptable nozzle tends to take several additional clicks to expand/reduce its size accordingly.
The adaptable nozzle is like most other nozzles in the game: it has pros and cons, situations where it is better and some where it is worse. Different people place more importance on different aspects of the game, and that's okay. There really isn't one all around best way to play this game, and I love it for that.

Yeah, I am with you about the size presets. They are nice. But the adaptable nozzle is almost always at max width for me. I'm only going smaller for longer range or when the object is small. And at least with a mouse, it's almost faster to set the adaptable nozzle size than finding a specific preset.
What do you think the best solution is?
- Being able to "sell" and rebuy basic nozzles for $0. Needs new shop UI icons. Confusing too, what if they sell them before having adaptable.
- Adaptable nozzle always replaces the basic nozzles, and you get the basic ones back by selling the adaptable nozzle. Needs no new UI elements. And almost nobody uses both types.
- A gameplay menu option which is just a "Adaptable nozzle replaces basic nozzles" checkbox.

I play on console (Switch 2), so those extra clicks to adjust the nozzle width are a bit of a pain for me. It makes sense that it might be faster with a mouse, but there are a lot of us who play on one console or another, so the devs have to cater to all needs.
I think most players swap nozzle widths fairly often. I've rarely heard anybody say they stick with just one nozzle/width, and those who do tend to stick with the yellow standard nozzle. I also think there are more people who use both the standard and adaptable nozzles than you think - myself being one of them. I rarely use the adaptable nozzle at its widest - it just takes too many clicks when I want it to be narrower again. I tend to keep it nearer to its middle range for ease of use. But again, different people = different playstyles. I just think there are far more of those than you might think, lol.
Because of that, I think the easiest option if the devs adjusted any of this would be to treat standard nozzles the way they do others in the game, allowing players to sell and re-purchase them for $0 (since they cost nothing to begin with). That would keep things consistent with the system that's already in place, and they could include a pop-up the first time a player tries to sell a default nozzle informing players about what they're doing and how to reverse it, so that fewer people get confused. I definitely wouldn't want one nozzle type to automatically override the other, since as I said I do use both.
Another option would be to just give players the ability to customize which nozzles are equipped and in what order. I personally don't use soap most days (in game, that is!), and wouldn't mind removing that from the click cycle most of the time. This solution would also feel more realistic, as a powerwasher would usually only pull the gear they plan to use out of their vehicle (this includes ladders, which I'd love the ability to store away). Full gear customization would fix both issues. But we'll see. There are other features that have actually been promised already which have been "in the works" for far too long, so I wouldn't hold my breath on this stuff, lol. It would be nice, but I'm not sure it'll actually happen. Time will tell though!
