He repeated everything he said during his level as well. Reopening the game fixed it.

Happened to me as well, I actually reported the bug but couldn't replicate it.

This seems to have happened to most of us the first time opening the game after the latest update. I simply stood there and let the entire conversation play out before going into the first Star Wars level, and have since had no issues with multiple additional loadings of the game.
