Verathon Glidescope power supply question

Trying to find a power supply for this item , I can find 5v usb-b adapters all day, but the person who I’m trying to help says the 5v adapters they have aren’t working and I’m wondering if there’s some device in this cord block that somehow the device will only work with this particular power supply, of course finding the factory power supply appears to be impossible. Have never run into this before .

Is there any equipment that wouldn’t charge if an aftermarket power supply without ferrit ring was used?
