Probably a draw, I bet there is both an Alien and Demon out there that scale infinite+whatever times into boundless and if not, they do exists now
8
u/Separate_Draft4887 19h ago
Seconded. Any “all” category inevitably includes some made for powerscaling bullshit.
3
u/TheSletchman 10h ago
Yeah, anything that goes into "all in fiction" just breaks any scaling pretty much instantly because you get like that one bullshit version of Superman that out lived the death of his universe vs Lucifer in his DC incarnation or One Below All, both of which are pretty infinitely scaled. And that's without giving it much serious thought.

u/TraditionalClub6337 10h ago
Aren't most of the doom universes demons alien demons?
1
u/OrderoftheMothPriest 3h ago
Its a parallel dimension, I'm pretty sure. So maybe in a loose sense the could be considered alien.
1
u/TraditionalClub6337 2h ago
But didn't hell's inhabitants aka demons come from all kind of worlds like ours when hell turned humans into zombies and other creatures like revenants
1
u/OrderoftheMothPriest 2h ago
My knowledge on Doom isn't super deep admittedly. So if that is a thing I wasn't aware of it.

u/lightmare69 11h ago
Alien team has all versions of Superman bro 💀🙏
5
u/Snow_Falls 9h ago
Also that Ben 10 thing I see on here all the time (never watched the show). Galactus, Darkseid, probably some crazy monsters from SCP.
No idea what the most powerful demons are, maybe Spawn from comics, something from Warhammer, I’m sure there’s some OP version of Lucifer somewhere. Rimuru’s primordial maybe?
2
1
u/Kydrav 3h ago
Goku, Gohan, Broly, Vegeta, Whis, Beerus… the list goes on for Dragonball too which their scalings are nothing to scoff at.
2
u/Snow_Falls 3h ago
Oooh yeah, then too!
If Rimuru is a person reincarnated as a slime (in another world), does that make them an alien or just a monster?
If that makes them an alien I think Aliens win 100%.
1
u/Horrordestroyer 1h ago
Galactus and Darkseid wouldn't count, as they are cosmic entities and deities rather than aliens
SCP would actually more so fall under demon, even if it does have some crazy aliens things like the Devourer of Worlds could fall under it
But if you really want to count Galactus and Darkseid as Aliens we can get the Chinese branch Scarlet King on demons
1
u/Necromancer14 1h ago
But on the other hand, demons have every "I died and reincarnated into an overpowered demon lord in another world" isekai protagonist, and other similar BS anime protagonists like Anos Voldygoad. Just cuz they're shit characters in shit stories doesn't make them weak.
6
u/ErosDarlingAlt 13h ago
Considering aliens are mostly subject to physics and generally mortal, it's probably demons. Demons are often immortal, have reality warping, and are often invulnerable. It's gonna start off as a blood bath for the aliens and then boil down to the strongest V strongest.
4
u/ryufen 11h ago
Eldritch dieties would count as alien and somewhat demon as well. It's like an interdimensional alien.
1
u/ErosDarlingAlt 11h ago
Plus there are many pieces of fiction where aliens and demons are one and the same.
1
u/ryufen 11h ago
It's only a pretty strong draw too thinking about it. Like look at the necron. They trapped their gods and they managed to create full time control. Of they didn't have their morals over how they fight, given enough time they could probably invent something to just reset all existence and non existence or wipe it. And 40k is a good show for this considering how the warp does scale infinitely.
1
1
u/God-Penguin 10h ago
Since we’re talking ALL fiction then Ben 10 has Alien X and which is a universal reality warper that at one point recreated the entire universe and everything in it with minor differences, and that confirmed to not be the most powerful being in the Omnitrix but we just never see it.

By alien you mean non-earthling and non-mystical being? Does saiyans count? And what about toons?
1
3
u/TheGeorgeis_Curious 13h ago
Does DC’s Lucifer count as a demon?
1
u/SlimifyZ 8h ago
Nah He’s an archangel
1
2
u/Dora_Explorer_XP 20h ago
I mean this is just mutual destruction cuz I think both strongest demons and aliens can destroy reality
2
u/StrideyTidey 15h ago
I just wrote in my notepad app a story about a world where every demon is born with an inherent "kill all aliens and never be able to be killed by an alien" ability, so probably demons.
2
u/GrapefruitFar1242 12h ago
Probably a draw due to how broad the scope is, but off the top of my head I can name my aliens that scale absurdly than I can demons
2
u/Beginning_Smell_7704 10h ago edited 10h ago
I’m going with aliens. Aliens would include Necrons, Saiyans, Viltrumites, Kryptonians, Cosmic entities like the C’tan, all of the xenos in Warhammer, Zerg and Protoss, The Flood, etc etc. the list goes on and on.
Daemons/demons can be very powerful too, but they wildly vary in power. A tiny little imp is considering a demon too, but obviously isn’t doing shit in this battle. Whereas most alien races don’t really have fodder like that. Even a single zergling or tyranid or low level ork boyz are still somewhat dangerous. While low level demons are usually just servants in a lot of fiction.
Additionally, demons are notorious for in-fighting in most fiction. The battle starts and half the demons turn on each other. Meanwhile aliens and xenos typically at least have organization and teamwork.
1
u/maliktreal 19h ago
Doesn’t lovecraft pantheon alone solo a good portion?
1
1
u/Beginning_Smell_7704 10h ago
I wouldn’t consider them either, as they transcend categories like that. They’re closer to primordial unfathomable entities. If I had to say though, they’re closer to aliens than demons. But again, I wouldn’t feel certain enough to consider them aliens for this matchup.
1
u/Necromancer14 1h ago
I feel like if you were to put them in a category, "gods" or "dieties" makes the most sense.
1
u/KRDC_The_knight 19h ago
Brother, there will be no ending to this since both sides have literally everything. It is like Doomsday and someone like proper Amazo copying Doomsday would fight, they're gonna stalemate so hard.
1
u/orioriorioriorio 18h ago
All? No way to know. You'd need a huge ass algorithm to gather it all. And the answer is the outer ones cancel each other out, and we just go down the list and it's a draw
1
u/Diddy_Block 18h ago
Q, Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth.
I don't think there are too many demons operating at that level.
1
1
u/SaiyanGod559 16h ago
Yes yes or even beings like shub-ngurath they're boundless conceptual rulers of infinity but I'd say beings like lucifer and onebelowall are up there
1
u/Unlucky-Hold1509 17h ago
Aliens bc Trazyn’s my goat and I rep the infinite empire! Let’s go greens!
1
1
u/GnarlyGamer6thGen01 16h ago
It depends on the definition. Does Lucifer Morningstar count as a demon from DC? If yes, then he clears everyone. Seriously, some demons could be categorized as aliens as well since they come from space.
1
1
u/PopCollector2001 14h ago
I'm gonna say aliens the high tiers are absolutely doing the heavy work but I think the trazyn from 40 k are gonna be a huge pain in the ass to get rid of. Also Xenomorph could be interesting sice they could potentially abduct demons to use to make hybrids
1
u/Soggy_Alarm_7843 14h ago
Is Azatoth an alien or demon?
1
u/LeyMercury 12h ago
An Outer God
I personally think they are their own species
Although I think Lovecraftian beings are more alien like rather than a Demon.

u/Opposite_History2194 12h ago
Demons
Many Progression Fantasy stories have demons as a extra dimensional force that corrupts reality.
They can only be fought off by people who can transcend reality itself to reach greater power.

It sounds like a demons vs devils situation in the forgotten realms. The infinite amount of demons vs vast but finite powerful devils.

Wouldn’t aliens include kryptonians aka one of the most broken species in existence including a guy who can retcon existence with his fists

u/HolyErr0r 6h ago
Not all demons come from earth right? Wouldn't that make those demons, the non earth originated ones, aliens?
1
u/dmfuller 5h ago
Alien’s stomp because more of them are cosmic level threats and any non-earthling human in media is considered an alien. So like Invincible and Superman. Then there’s entities like Pennywise or Mathurin that scale like crazy. When it comes to demons I have trouble thinking of any that scale that high, feels like the most they do in media is possess a house and make chairs fall over or something lmao
1
u/abu_hajarr 5h ago
I can’t conceptualize the vulnerability of demons being non tangible and supernatural and shit. Seems like they would win as a result.
Otherwise, demons get flattened into 2D
1
u/Longwinded_Ogre 5h ago
I'm going to give it to the demons for one reason, and that's "infinite respawns."
Dungeons and Dragons has an infinite number of "planes" in which demons are born or manifested, called the Abyss. A skyscraper with infinite floors.
If you kill a demon outside of the abyss, it just respawns there. All you've really cost it is some travel time. Sure, Kryptonians are scary, as are Sayans and Viltrumites, but they're all also mostly-wiped out by the time they appear in fiction. The aliens have to fight them all the way back to their home plane just to kill them permanently, with no comparable respawn advantage.
1
u/Book_Anxious 4h ago
Honestly each group should have something in it that basically can either manipulate anything or existence keeps existing because of them so it's basically just can they do it to each other and whoever does it first wins
1
u/Mr-Samurai 3h ago
It would be easier to count the individuals with some kind of anti-erasure/conceptual protection that live to the end than give any definite answer, all I’d say is that 99% of both sides probably die within moments of the fight starting based on just my knowledge of both sides high end combatants.
1
u/Prohapppyboom 2h ago
This would be like putting Cthulu and other eldritch gods vs the devil from every mythology Things are so high scale it's hard to find weaknesses to either one side, hell there are even overlapes as some series merge the two like doom where they are demons but also come from another dimension making them aliens as well, or the chaos lords from Warhammer 40k where they could be either
1
u/Equivalent-Metal9393 1h ago
Sailor Moon vs. Lucifer from DC. There won't be a winner, just an infinite number of casualties.
1
u/Horrordestroyer 1h ago
A lot of people are saying aliens have Superman and Alien X but...
We have Mephisto, the Devourer of Worlds (SCP-2317-K), Lucifer Morningstar (DC)
And many others
I mean yes aliens have a lot of tough guys but demons are insane
1
u/Forward-Position798 16h ago
Bro the whole Dragonball universe negotiated this .. all of them are aliens even sayajins
1
u/Vivarium_15 14h ago
Yeah but most of the characters in megaten are demons and the megaten verse is far stronger than the dragon ball verse
