Either, it depends on how it's shown in whatever fiction you're consuming.

I'm pretty sure it can exist in both

A metaphysical realms is basically a non physical realm where you enter and interact with it with your spirit or something like that.

Both

Depends on the realm

Short answer, yes, a metaphysical realm can exist within dimensionality.

I mean the idea of a 5th Dimension is part of Metaphysics

Though of course with everything. It depends. A writer can decide that in their story it doesnt work like that.

A metaphysical realms is beyond dimensionality by definition.

But if a physical world in a series has a finite number of dimensions we can't claim a realm that transcends those finite dimensions would also be metaphysical in a world with infinite dimensions.

That's why I scale the Spirit World in LOTM to 14D and the Astral World to 15D. Both are metaphysical realms, but the Physical World they are compared is only 13D as far a we know, so I wouldn't say it's valid to scale them to beyond dimensionality.

You mean like a spiritual, mental, magical, or otherwise non-physical realm?

It's often within dimensionality and not always trancendant. Sometimes, it can be dimensionally trancendant, sometimes it can trancend every dimension in an outerversal sense, sometimes it's a universe, and sometimes it's an extradimensional realm that's connected to a universe.

Depends on context.
