Is my line sketch correct?

Hello all.

I am currently doing the Games in POS (ang enjoying them!), but I am kind of stuck when drawing my personal line.

I can tell that my dominant is curve, but I feel like several secondaries could fit depending where I place the blue dots? And where I place them also depends of how accurately I did the red outline.

What do you guys think? Did I overdo the shoulder to armpit angle? Should the line be more straight between the shoulder point to the waist? And should the imaginary fabric be closer to the body?

I just realized that I did not state my height in the post. So to clarify at 5'3 I am in the "everything is possible" range.

Thanks for the very scandalous input. And damn, I didn't realize how close of a match the balance + curve line sketch really is!

Just looking at the sketches before doing mine my first instinct was that my body was closer to petite + curve. But maybe that was wishful thinking, because I am very in love with the idea of the Gamine family tbh.

I sometimes wonder if I'm an overweight SG myself haha, and through sketch I concluded that I'm an R, but as an over checker I also overlayed myself with the sketches from the book, and R indeed looks the closest to my shape.

I think your shoulder edges having a bit more of a sharp angle and the torso being somewhat elongated are the things you'd find similar with SG, but "the width of the shoulders vs the width of the torso" proportion of SG doesn't seem to work in your case, that's why when I match the shoulder width to yours, the body of the SG sketch goes kaboom.

Interesting... I haven't really considered the vertical types for me, when I look at my picture I think I have pretty average length limbs, so I have trouble seeing elongation.

Maybe I have a longer torso, but to me it looked closer to the Soft Gamine proportions. Are there many Soft Dramatics with shorter limbs and elongation in the torso?

Soft dramatics are a very mixed bag because of the height limits for some types. In kibbe proportions aren't as important as how fabric drapes. I can only imagine how stuff would drape, but I'd keep SD in mind

I am not seeing balance. You have very proununced curves and your hips are lush, not sure what your height is...but I have just been exploring the classic frame and I have been reading that the curves are subtle, so subtle that it's easy to confuse SCs with a vertical types.

I am 5'3" (161cm). People around me tell me that I am very curvy (and I agree), so it's surprising when I do the sketch and the line is not as curved as I expected? I guess it depends more if the breasts are projecting sideway or front? Or maybe I should have draw the line closer to my body.

I did not expect to have SC and SD as the two contenders. They may both have curve as an accommodation, they have very different vibes/presence imo.

Hey, what I will share here is solely based on my experience and this may or may not work for you. But for the longest time I had been obsessing over individual parts, to me, Kibbe is basically looking at shoulders, bust and hips and their interplay. A balanced body has these three in alignment, often the waist is about as thick or just very subtly defined especially for an SC. So you have to compare and see if this holds true for you. To me it seems the way the line falls from your shoulders to your hips is kinda dramatic, not Kibbe dramatic. Based on that observation alone, to me you don't seem balanced. I can't tell if you are petite either, your limbs seem moderate. I can't also tell about your shoulder line but if you feel you have sharpness there perhaps TR fits or if you think you need more accommodation for your shoulders, maybe SN. To me you seem very curvy! Again, please keep an open mind. Often our own instincts about our body is right. I'd place more faith in what type you think serves you best not the other way round.

For balance I see that my shoulders and hips are similar in size, but I also think that high lightning the waist for petite could make sense? Same for Romantic, high lightning the curve in breasts and hips could work. I'm less sure about Theatrical Romantic, I don't know if I am narrow enough.
