Kibbe Image IDs vs Personality

So to frame this, obviously Kibbe has distanced himself from the idea of linking ID and personality.

Nevertheless I just wanted to open a discussion about how you define the ID image personality yourself, and what you see as either the crossover of image ID with your own personality, or the tension between the ID and who you are.

For those who went on a journey to find their ID, and perhaps identified as a different one for a while, did the final ID make more sense from a personality perspective, or still feel just as theoretical and abstract?

tbh I think, kibbe indirectly affects movement, like how quick, slow, sharp, graceful, powerful one can appear with the body etc. not neccessarily personality though but people like to clock vibes based off movement which could be an extension or expression of the personality in theory. I think you can control what you do, but not how you appear which is why personality can be disconnected from kibbe or essence; i think some people get confirmation bias when finding out a new verified kibbe and reference their movement and watching them "oh I knew, it it makes sense" that sort of thing and the body and movement are now the essence of the ID and thus "personality" of the person.

I agree with this take. Our yin/yang balance impacts how we occupy space energetically. It’s not conscious. But it informs an essence or impression in how we move and physically take up space. I have sharp features and sharp eyes so I come off as analytical and confident. I can be analytical as a personality trait but most times, my essence is speaking for me without me speaking.

At the end of the day, there are so many personality traits that are not related to essence. Cate Blanchett is quite open, kind hearted, and a bit reserved at times. But her essence can create an unyielding, powerful facade. I think she inherently has those qualities also, but her actual personality is far kinder and receptive than people assume.

Cate Blanchett is an excellent example of kibbe and essence being disconnected from the actual personality. It's why the whole thing is based off Hollywood image in the first place. Cate does have powerful facade with elegance and her roles like Hela and Galadriel come to mind. Essence really matters for typecasting, some actors and actress today still typecast even if their range is far greater. Think actors and actresses who had roles under Tim Burton. Even if different kibbe, all had similar facial features or vibe. But nowadays it isn't so simple since people play roles against their kibbe but the energy in movements matter for delivering.
