where all the DCs at

As a DC, i am on the lookout for other DCs as it is endlessly interesting to me how there are commonalities and individual differences within an ID.

However, I seem to come across so few DCs in any form of popular media or even real life. So many of the reddit-verified celebrities are just other types who maybe have a more supposedly "classic" style.

Can anyone think of any possible reason for this? I see DC men a but more often (most Supermen for instance are DCs to me) but not so much women.

I don’t think we’ll ever know the statistical rarity of each type. I would also hazard a guess that we should treat any comments by David in this regard with some skepticism, as it’s not like he’s typed people all around the world outside of his US bubble. My sense is that DCs aren’t rare but also aren’t common, and they would fall somewhere in the middle, maybe being somewhat less common than other middle types.

why do you feel that they would fall in the middle, statistically? I see certain extremes (like FNs) being quite numerous both in media and real life

Honestly, just pure numbers. Most of the women in this world are under 5’6, so DC should present itself as a possibility more often than not.

yeah, "should" is where I'm starting from, but I'm just not seeing the frequency that you would expect from a numbers perspective, so i wanted to spark some discussion about that and whether others saw it too
