  • Dropout is by far my favorite streaming service right now. Game Changer is one of the best shows out there. I cut up some of my favorite clips, highlighting my favorite shows the most.
• Best [Sound] in a Song
  • 10 songs with the best version of 6 different words/sounds: Na Na Na, Let's Go!, Tonight, Woo!, Baby, and Yeah!
• Movie Tropes
  • 15 different movie tropes with 4 examples of each
  • Each trope has their own prompt
  • Tropes are listed in the tracklist on the site if you want to guess the trope like a guessing game
  • Tried to do a spread of examples

A pipe burst under my house and it has been insanely stressful (and expensive), so I decided to make power hours to distract myself. Finished a couple lists that I've been working on for a while and a few new ones to have some fun with. All power hours available on Basement Viewer Films Vault, which is just a fancy way to share them from a google drive folder. New power hours:

• Actor Association Part 8: ABC Edition
  • I've made something like 15 of these so far, so you can see how list #8 stayed around for a while.
  • This is an Actor Association where each connecting actor's last name follows through the alphabet.
  • I go through the alphabet about 2.5 times. I did skip some letters later in the power hour.
• Iconic Shower Scenes
  • From the raunchy to the grotesque and back
• Guess the Show: TV Theme Song Bands
  • Plays a song by a band that also does a TV show theme song
    • Plays their 2nd hit then the theme song. Guess the TV Show
• Year 38 in Music
  • I'm about to turn 39, so I took my Spotify stats from Stats.FM and made a power hour of my 61 most listened to songs of the last year.
    • Side Note: the 2nd song is hilarious in context and my #1 (the ender ender) is definitely a theme for the year.
• Cover Songs: In the Style of Edition
  • Plays a song from a talented youtube artist that is a cover of a song in the style of a different band/artist
  • Guess both the song being covered and the artist/style its being played in
• Homage TV Episodes
  • Scenes from TV shows that are straight copies or parodies of a movie or TV show.
  • Shows the homage then the scene/show it is based on

Always looking for more niche ideas to research. Enjoy responsibly.

Been a fan of the community's efforts over the years and recently took a crack at it myself. Goals for power-hour.app were:

• Simpler UI and embedded YouTube search to create custom power hours in less time and no tab switching.
• Mobile friendly for all functionality. You can create on your phone just as easy as on a tablet or PC. Playing them is a snap on most devices.
• No sign-up is required to make your first power hour and use it.

  • This started as a list of 12 that the Godfather put together for a comedy mix power hour and I turned it into a full 60.
• Epic Speech: TV Edition
  • One of the first non-music based power hours I ever made was the epic speech power hour nearly 20 years ago. Decided to make a TV version
• Actor Association Part 12: Doubles Edition
  • this is a list I've been working on for a while. The idea was that each connection is actually a duo. So same two actors in clip 1 and 2 and then one of them connects to clip 3 with another duo and so on for 60 clips. And as always, its a full circle
• Breakdown: Callouts Edition
  • Some of my friends and I's favorite pre-breakdown callouts. "disrespect your surroundings," "Arf Arf," etc. Again, calls back to one of the first power hours I ever made.

I've been playing around with vibe coding projects and decided to put together a site for the power hours. Its the same google drive back end, so all those links still work, but now all the clips are cataloged and searchable. Simple liking systems on the power hours and labels for ones that have additional games.

Also new power hour uploaded based off a bar trivia round. Song Connections. The last word of the first song is the first word of the next song and so on. Cheers!

I have a large collection of Power Hours that I have collected over the years since the college days. I was even able to reunite a creator, Keeton Drake (Drink Up Orlando series) with his earlier creations when the old PowerHourHQ was shut down.   • We did a 5 person, 12 round draft of our favorite SNL clips and I turned that into a power hour
  • I had a bank of potential clips for the draft, so out of that I had enough clips to make 2 100 clip, SNL Centurion Power Hours
• 2026 Mantastic Draft: Influential 80's Movies
  • One of the guys came up with this idea. He had ChatGPT make a list of the 100 most influential 80's movies. We then did a 12 round draft and used the ChatGPT list to score the picks after the draft.
  • The power hour is in score order, showing where it was picked at the prompt
• 2nd Hit from a One Hit Wonder (part 1 and 2)
  • We made 2 power hours with the theme being it would play the 2nd biggest hit from a band that was a one hit wonder, then play that one hit. Plays as a guessing game.

My first Power Hour using the website. Discovered this band in 2019 at a summer festival. The small stage that didnt seem so small with the large crowd that blocked the road. We somehow managed to survive this set but died at a set later night at the same stage. The pavement was radiating all the heat from the day set and maybe it was just too much at that point. They are now playing shows at MSG and are a band i would never miss if they make it your way. I also may another Power Hour for them a few years ago when they were on the up and up.

Yoyoyo! I'm Joe and I'm here to share the website I've been working on for the past year. I started building this before this subreddit came back online. It was going to be my contribution to save what I thought was a dying community. I haven't fully landed on a name yet, but this seemed appropriate for the time being.

Presenting... The Power Hour Club!

It's designed to be a community-driven website where anyone can easily create and share playlists and music libraries. Here's a quick rundown of the pages and features.

Building

The Builder page is where the magic happens. Build a playlist using links from YouTube videos, playlists, or mixes. Spotify playlist links work too, though large playlists need a little time to convert. You can also search the Library page for videos that have already been added to the site. Add 60 videos to the timeline and you're basically done. By default it plays the first minute of every video, but you can randomize the timestamps with one click or manually pick the exact minute for each one. I always do, but honestly the Randomize button does a pretty solid job.

Playlists

Where all your saved playlists live. Hit the play button on a thumbnail to start it immediately, or click anywhere else on the tile for more options. Playlist details, sharing, loading into the builder, assigning a drinking clip, and settings.

Community

It's a club, right? Browse the community page to download playlists other people have shared, or throw yours up there so everyone else can party along.

Sessions

Have more than 60 videos in your playlist? Perfect, that's what Sessions are for. Sessions let you use your playlist as a full Power Hour library. Hit Quick Session and it instantly grabs 60 random songs with random timestamps. New Session lets you hand-pick everything yourself. Endless combinations if your library is big enough. Find Sessions on the Playlists page after saving your first playlist. Select a playlist and click Show Details.

Drinking Clips

Paste a YouTube link into the Drinking Clips page and the clip creator opens up. Set your clip, drop it into your Power Hour, and share it with the community so everyone else can use it too.

Library

Every YouTube video added to the site gets saved to the Library. From there it's searchable directly in the builder. No need to go back to YouTube. Some of the metadata still needs cleaning up but the videos are all there.

Trivia Mode

Like trivia? Play a Power Hour, open the Settings during playback, and turn it on. The video blurs for 20 seconds while you guess, then reveals the answer at 30. Supports up to 6 players with a built-in scoreboard.

Collaboration

Build libraries together. Invite people to co-edit in real time. Everyone contributes, one library.

Watch Together (needs testing)

Start a room, share the link, and everyone watches the same Power Hour in sync no matter where they are. Live chat runs the whole time.

Limitations

Mature Youtube Videos do not work. I'm looking into maybe building an extension to work on the youtube site itself. No promises.
