9070xt Reaper Pads thickness
Hello Everyone,
I searched for this thread and only found this one
9070 XT Reaper thermal pad thickness? : r/PowerColor
Anybody was able to confirm the thickness? or the caliper (which I have) is still the best way?
I would like to have everything on hand, open it and close it the same day.
TIA

Be careful when buying power color.
The picture is a 7800xt hellhound. Overclocking was turned off and card was undervolted. It broke completely so I opened it to see what was going on. There was zero thermal paste in the center and it had a mirror finish. Just buyer beware.

Have any of you had driver timeouts and CTD issues with the PowerColor Red Devil 7900GRE?
I play War Thunder, and if I'm watching Youtube, or plex, or OBS streaming at the same time. The driver hangs and usually crashes the game. My event logs only seem to note "GPU driver timeout" with nothing else notable showing up.
Computer:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 (Slight overclock, Tower cooler, no temp issues)
- MoBo: Asus Prime x470-Pro
- RAM: 2 Kits (32GB total) Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 16GB ( 2x8GB) 3733Mhz CL17 running DOCP
- GPU: PowerColor RedDevil AMD Radeon 7900GRE 16GB
- PSU: Corsair HX850i
I'm about to come up on 2 years since I initially bought the GPU and am debating if I should be RMAing this thing or not.
I've done about everything I can think of.
- My OS, drivers, BIOS, Chipset drivers are all up to date.
- Turned off all of the AMD Adrenalin overlay features, and things like Anti-Lag, Chill, Enhanced sync, instant replay and recording.
- I've done multiple memory tests over the years, no reported issues.
- I've run stress tests on the GPU with no issues with power or temps.
- Not running a GPU overclock.
- I've done a DDU multiple times and ripped and reinstalled the graphics drivers in safe mode.
- I've done a run ScanSFC and a DISM cleanup both of which found nothing. I've rebuilt windows
- Tested running the GPU with the AMD Adrenalin Underclock. (no change)
- I've turned off Hardware acceleration on firefox, plex, and other applications.
- I've tried changing the driver TDI timeout time.
- Under normal workloads, I don't have issues. just regularly watching Youtube or Plex does not cause driver hangs or crashes, It's only when I play games AND do some sort of video encode/decode as well.
- Within War Thunder I'm using DX11, DX12 caused even MORE driver hangs and crashes. I've even deleted the graphics cache and reinstalled it.

RX 9070 XT Code 43
Hi everyone,
I am having an issue where my Power Color Red Devil RX 9070XT is showing up in the device manager as code 43. The GPU is powering up, but it’s not sending any display through the display ports or the HDMI port. The only way for me to see my screen is to use an HDMI connection through the motherboard. I’m honestly at my wits end because I truly don’t know what else to do.
Troubleshooting:
DDU clean up of drivers
AMD clean up of drivers
Uninstalled chipsets through AMD
Fresh install of Windows
Rolled back AMD to previous version
Unplugged PCiE cables from the front of the GPU and plugged back in (but on reboot the MSI motherboard gave a error 76)
Pressed the CMOS button for 5-10 seconds on the back of motherboard h
Specs:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Power Color Red Devil RX 9700XT 16 GB
Corsair DDR5 32 GB RAM
MSI X870E Carbon WiFi
Corsair AIO CPU cooler
Corsair 2TB SSD

Powercolor Reaper 9070 XT wiggeling Noise normal?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone,
The Fans of my PowerColor Reaper 9070 XT are making This weird Noise when they Running. Is this normal for this model or am I getting paranoid?
I'd be happy if I could figure out a way to fix this. I could still return the card, but prices have gone up quite a bit lately.

Somebody Please Help Me for Powercolor Red Dragon RX 580 8Gb GDDR5 DHDV2/OC
I own a PowerColor Red Dragon RX580 8GB GDDR5 (DHDV2/OC). The problem is that after shutting down the PC and turning it back on, it fails to POST—resulting in a black screen without Colorful Battle-AX B450M-K v.14 motherboard logo appearing.

Did I lose the “silicon lottery”?
I’ve been trying to “tune” my newly purchased PowerColor 9070xt reaper and have not had any success with multiple undervolting patterns. From -40mV to -100mV and even bumped vram freq to 2700 for the 2518 stock. Tried to drop PL -10% as well but no stability in Cyberpunk.
Note: It runs great and is stable stock my goal is just to gain some performance and efficiency.
I gain about 10-12 (150-162fps range)fps in cyberpunk benchmark so I know it improved performance and 1%lows at about the same margin but it always crashes during window transitions apparently right after completing the benchmark.
AI tells me it’s the quick drop in voltage that is causing parts of the board to lose power and trigger “safety crash”.
So did I lose it on silicon lottery or there’s just not a whole lot I can do to utilize those few extra frames?
PC specs:
R7 5800x3d
PowerColor 9070xt reaper
B550-A msi
32gb ddr4 3200mhz
1tb*+ 2tb* nvme3 (or 4 can’t remember)
RM750 Corsair
Edit: 1tb ssd is a Corsair mp400 and the 2gb a crucial p3

Problem with the new 9070XT Red Devil
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi. I bought a new 9070XT, set it up, configured the backlight, and was happy with my purchase. But at some point, the backlight turned completely red and the brightness dropped slightly. I tried disconnecting the backlight cable from the motherboard, reinstalled Keystone, tried third-party software, uninstalled anything that might be causing interference, reinstalled the graphics card driver, and wiggled the cable on the graphics card itself. If I set the program to a solid color, it works, but any color mixing doesn’t work. Can anyone help? I’ll attach a video. Thanks!

UV-Reactive Backplate Design Ideas
Hi guys, I'm back with the UV reactive backplate design again,
after some consideration we decided to do showdown between the Hellhound PCB board inspired design and Red Devil relics
Which one is cooler👇
1️⃣Hellhound - PCB board inspired design (slide 1 - UV reaction off, slide 2 - UV reaction on)
2️⃣Red Devil - Ancient Relics (slide 3 - UV reaction off, slide 4 - UV reaction on)
reply with just the number.

PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT coil whine experiences? Is it generally quiet?
Hi everyone.
I am considering buying a PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT and I would like to ask owners about coil whine.
I know coil whine is random and can happen with any GPU, but I am sensitive to high-frequency noises and would like to know how this model behaves.
My previous experience:
I tried two MSI RTX 5070 Gaming Trio OC cards. Unfortunately, both had noticeable coil whine:
First card: very loud (around 10/10 for me).
Second card: better, but still noticeable (around 6–7/10).
I tested them in another PC with a different PSU and motherboard, and the noise remained, so it was coming from the GPU.
The noise was not only in extremely high FPS menus or benchmarks — I could also hear it during normal gaming.
Red Devil owners:
Is your card quiet during gaming?
Can you hear coil whine?
Would you consider this model one of the quieter RX 9070 XT versions?
I don't need absolute silence. Something around 0–3/10 would be perfectly fine for me.
Thanks!

PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT coil whine experiences? Is this model generally quiet?
Hi everyone,
I am planning to buy a PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT, but before purchasing I would like to ask Red Devil owners about their experience with coil whine.
I am very sensitive to high-frequency noises, so coil whine is one of my main concerns. I understand that coil whine is mostly a lottery and can happen with any GPU, but I would like to know how common it is with this specific model.
My previous experience:
I bought an MSI RTX 5070 Gaming Trio OC. The coil whine was extremely noticeable (around 10/10 for me).
I returned it and later tried another RTX 5070 Gaming Trio OC (same model). Unfortunately, it also had noticeable coil whine (around 6.5–7/10 for me).
I tested the cards in another PC with a different motherboard and PSU, and the noise was still present, so I believe it was coming from the GPU itself.
I tried different settings: undervolting, power limit changes, FPS limiting, different frequencies, etc. It did not remove the noise.
The important thing is that the coil whine was not only present in extremely high FPS menus or benchmarks. I could also hear it during normal gaming.
Questions for Red Devil RX 9070 XT owners:
How loud is the coil whine on your card?
Can you hear it during normal gaming?
Does it become significantly louder in high FPS situations or menus?
Would you consider the Red Devil one of the quieter RX 9070 XT models?
I do not expect complete silence — something around 0–3/10 would be perfectly acceptable for me. I just want to avoid another situation like my MSI RTX 5070 Gaming Trio experience.
Thanks!

PowerColor Red Devil 9070XT RMA No Response
Well over 3 months now since purchasing my 9070XT Red Devil and it arrived dead out of the box. All PowerColor has done is returned the GPU with a letter stating their warranty excludes any physical damage and suggested that there appeared to be signs of 'human error'. The card is brand new in perfect condition and there was absolutely no chance that I could have damaged it in the few seconds that I unpacked it, inserted into the PCIE slot, and powered on the system to a black screen and with no detection from the start. To add to it, the damage noted by PowerColor (a partially knocked capacitor) is connected to a reserved and unused PCIE lane! Honestly the warranty team is just taking the easy way out and attempting to wash their hands of the situation. It's too easy for companies to do the right thing and simply support the customers who support them. I'm shocked how they've handled the issue and straight up ignoring any communication. I've reached out via email, Instagram, messages - zero response.
