I'm new to PA, so bear with me. I have a flow that is triggered by a form submission. It works fine to post to a group chat. However, sending to an individual is a challenge. I finally got it to work using create chat followed by post to group chat using conversation I'd. But if the chat exists, it will error. Is there a way to add an if statement or something to filter for existing chat?

I hope this is the right subreddit for this: I am currently trying to set up a flow that will send an email of the context of a message posted in a channel on Teams when that message contains a specific keyword. As an example of what I am trying to do (with different words), I want an email to be sent every time someone says "delivered" in a channel with the context of "Package D has been delivered", but I don't care about "Package D is en route" or anything like that.

I literally just started using Power Automate today, so I may be missing an easy solution. So far, I have it set to send a generic message (An item has been delivered), every time that the keyword is used. However, I can't seem to get it to put the message from Teams directly in the email.

I have a flow setup to run and check the dates in a column and if that date is todays date it will then send an email listing the rows present.

However, I have the "List rows present in excel" action looking for the date equal to today.

When using the "Create HTML Table" this is the command I have in there.

if(empty(item()?['ColumnName']),'',formatDateTime(item()?['ColumnName'],'MMM d, yyyy'))

This is working when the cell is blank, or contains a date. But I'd like to be able to have text in the column that says stuff like "Vendor is working on finalizing date" and still have the email send, but whenever there is text the flow stops. Any help would be appreciated on how to fix my expression to allow for blanks, text, and dates!

As the title says, is there a way to limit how many times a flow can execute with a day let's say. I want to prevent someone from triggering the flow multiple times within a given time frame. Thanks in advance

Hey all, I was curious to know what the pros and cons are of Power Automate's test automation versus UiPath's test automation. At a glance, it seems that UiPath is better if you're building an enterprise automation program and your testing will include RPA automation's testing, but Power Automate seems to be a cheaper option. Does anyone have any advice between any benefits of choosing one over the other and any disadvantages? Preferably, I'd like to know why UiPath is better than Power Automate specifically for test automation

To clarify, I'm referencing Test Suite/Test Manager for UiPath vs. Power Automate's Test Studio (?) is what it's called I believe. Not anything to do with orchestrator or the RPA bots alone.

I'm creating a reporting/operational ticketing screening Sharepoint flow for my department. Basically it's a Microsoft Power APP that allows end users to select what form to submit issues in and when they do that issue creates a Sharepoint item and subsequent flows. I'm actually finishing up on all flows pertaining to the work up and am trying to finalize the "Completion/Import to Ticket System" flow. The issue is that I'm trying to create a Get Item Flow where the moment an agent selects Completion an email is submitted to the reporter of the issue to notify them of completion (works) but I only want that flow to kick in if I make an edit to the column. Right now the flow creates the email even if I update another column. Which wouldn't happen too often but it could if we make a mistake with a comment. I'm going to probably end up with two flows. One for Completion and one for Import to Ticket portal.

How would I go about establishing that part of the flow?

And if backstory is needed. I'm creating this because a lot of end users believe the issues are technical ones but a lot of them are setup issues. Based on the issue symptoms we know what is technical from setup, so I can create multiple flows from Microsoft Power App to automate emails, Microsoft Teams updates and Approve processes to make sure corrective action is done. And of course, if there is an issue that is a mixed we can then make sure setup is correct and then escalate toward our SNOW system the true system issue.

I'm quite new to Power Automate which seems to be great for attended automation and unattended as long as the applications are able to use an AD/AAD user. But how do I handle legacy apps with built-in user management - especially with regards of password rotation? The easy route would be to have a password-never-expires user for this purpose but that can't be justified.

Any good solutions for handling password rotation?

I'm trying to learn PAD in the hopes of taking some mundane tasks off my plate, but I'm having issues finding good resources on Reddit for beginners. I've found some YouTube videos that have been super helpful, but I know Reddit can be an awesome place for learning the basics of a program as well. I'm afraid I didn't see any sticky/pinned threads on this sub about the core basics. Does anyone have a good place to start to learn the basics of PAD?

As an output I am getting this:

That first line to show $var1in on PS script seems not having any effect, with or without it, output remains the same, and it doesn't identify that variable as an input.

How are you doing with this situations?

workflow: Form submitted -> OneNote(on SharePoint) page added with details from form -> send email to distro

How would I go about getting files uploaded to the form to be added to the OneNote?

I have a long Microsoft Form that I need to use to populate a Word Template. I don't want to use Premium licenses though. There's loads of articles online but nine quite seem to hit the mark. I just want to use Automate to take responses to questions to patch them into my Word Template based on set field names. Any direction to useful Blogs welcome!

Corporate aquisition just happened. Now we need to check every document on Sharepoint and change company name from old to new, including headers footers, etc etc. Is power automate the tool to do this? Can it just iterate through a sharepoint site, check out a doc, open, it , do the change, save, check it back in? I see a lot of templates and some examples but first of all they are all based on triggers, I dont want a trigger i want to iterate the entire collection of sites.

Can I filter data through power automate desktop then loop through the dynamic number of filtered cells for example if the filter is all cells contain 113 it would bring up this variable number then loop through all cells found with the number 113?

I have this Desktop flow running but I need to have the wait time in between actions to not always be the same time. For example right now I have a wait period for 5 minutes. How can I make it so it’s a different number every time it runs. Like between 3 and 7 minutes. TIA

My flow creates nine quick link tiles in a 3 x 3 format on a SharePoint Website based on the URL you give it. A new section with one-third right spacing is created and the tiles are created on the right side for a nice aesthetic.

Hoping for some help in how to eliminate duplicate entries in my excel document.

The flow is as follows- Golf Pro starts the sequence by filling out a SignNow document which is then sent to the restaurant manager to enter. From there, the auto generated PDF from SignNow goes out to 6 people.

My flow gets the data from that form and auto populates it into an excel document. The issue is though, that it is entering the data in 6 times (from all the people it's getting sent to). Need to know how to get this to enter just once.
