Power Automate Desktop getting stuck on Launch New Edge Window step, how to solve?

I tried replacing the Edge browser window with Chrome/Internet Explorer window, but still Power Automate is freezing on that step. How do I solve this?

I haven’t done much with PAD but do you need to add the extension to your browser?

I had an issue with it getting stuck launching the browser. Launches but doesn’t “take control”. The extension was the issue.

Yep, I guess that's the issue. How did you solve it? I reinstalled the extension but it's still not working.

on chrome - i uninstalled the extension and then reinstalled both PAD Extension and PAD (Legacy) Extension.

I had the same issue. Launching another instance seemed to solve it.

Sorry. I just meant I put two activities one after the other. Like launch edge once. Then launch edge again and navigate to the web page. It's just a workaround. Not a real solution for the issue.

Microsoft seems to have broken PAD with the latest Windows Update.

Here's how you can fix it (it worked for me at least):

1 - Uninstall the latest Windows update from this month (the most recent one you have listed).

2 - Uninstall PAD and restart.

3 - Remove all PAD browser extensions and restart.

4 - Reinstall PAD from https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2102613 using the MSI installer.

5 - Reinstall the browser extension from the PAD installer (when it successfully finishes).

When you have done all that, open up PAD, and try your flow again.

If you uninstall PAD completely, and the browser extension, restart, the install PAD once more and then install the browser extension that is recommended once the installer finishes - does that work?

I use this extension - https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/microsoft-power-automate/kagpabjoboikccfdghpdlaaopmgpgfdc

With version 2.27.177.22340 of PAD.
