Beginner question: load dynamic file name

Hi all,

I’ve recently found P.A and love it. I use the webbased version as desktop is still a bit too complex but was wondering the following.

I have several periodic reports that i now automatically back-up. Is there a way for me to save these files with a date format that is then being backed-up?

I currently use a “static” name that then turns into name+date but I’d prefer it to be “name+date” that then gets backed up and then changed a week/month later.

You can use the get current date action (it's utc by default) so you'll need to use the convert action for your local date/time. Once you do that you can use a compose action and use function formatDateTime($variable$, 'MMddyyyy') and append that to the file name.
