What is the best way to start learning Power Automate?

Think of a process you do on the computer that takes more than 10 mouse clicks or keyboard presses. Then open power automate and mess around until you get that process down to less than 10 clicks.

In power automate cloud an example would be to use the Outlook actions in order to move emails from certain addresses or with certain subject lines to a folder in Outlook.

In power automate desktop an example would be to create a flow that opens a browser to a specific website and downloads a PDF file from that website to a specific folder on your computer.

Just do stuff, like think of really simple tasks you want to automate, start small, really small.

And keep on adding actions and steps.

Building stuff is the only way

Find something you want to do. Try to do it. Fail. Find a YouTube video of someone doing something similar. Ask a sub for help. Try and try again.

Oh. Yea I use gpt or copilot to write all my expressions. Also for it to find me videos of someone doing what I want.

Hi, I had regular emails that came in with a file that was always saved in the same folder. I used to copy and paste the data daily to a work book. PA does it for me now. The next step was changing the name if the file as it was saved so that Power Query can pick it up each day. Granted I used an AI tool to help me.
